I am sitting here, a scant two years after finding LBT, looking back at my somewhat amazing journey with my life. I must admit, this is not where I ever thought I would end up, but once we start on a journey, do we ever really end up at the indented destination? I think we sort of tack in the direction of the wind, we see our sails fill, but we have no real control over those winds. I was absolutely convinced that by this time I would be a beautiful size 12, out concouring the world. I thought I would have a stunning wardrobe, and boundless enery, and a stunning collection of shoes... I thought I would be making a difference through my chosen profession, and off havi…

Hi and happy new year to everyone. Does anyone have problems with the chatroom, when I've been in lately there have been upwards of 30 users yet no-one speaks mainscreen, my partner joked that it was like a chatroom for trappist monks  I've only once managed to chat to people who logged in just after me and it was really nice to have a real chat with other lapbanders and people yet to be banded. Can anyone shed any light on this one please? Hoping this year is better for everyone here, Take care, Yvonne x

Lots of candy and Liquids calories (SUCH AS CAPPUCCINO,S) I,HAVE QUIT THE DEPRESSENTS ALREADY! Im going to talk with a counselor , to talk about my feeling rather then trying to swallow them. As for the pain killers Im going to cut back right away. Try to start walking more and some kind of Core exercise after I see my Doctor to help streghen my back. Well here I am in CO.... and we are in the middle of a blizzard. I have probably 2 feet of snow in my driveway and some of the drifts are at least 4 or 5 feet deep. No way am I making it anywhere tomorrow. They sent us home from work today at about noon and my normal 20 minute commute took me an hour and a half! It was like night of the living dead out there. You could go for miles and not see another car then suddenly come around a turn and see cars stranded, stuck in feet of snow. This is the craziest storm we have had in years!! I came home and made a big pot of chili... the best on a day like this! This evening I had the BRILLIANT idea of taking my hubbys car out to t…

Does anyone belong to their local freecycle group? If not why not? It is a great way to recycle items (about anything) you don't want or need. You can also request items. It is totally free! Plus it saves tons of good stuff from going to the landfill. To join just go to www.freecycle.org and sign up to join your local chapter.

If you are planning to give a party, the first thing you should do is lie down, take 5 deep breaths and think of the ocean or a mountain stream until the urge subsides. If, after meditating for quite awhile, you still plan to give a party, you should follow these rules: If you make sausage cheese balls, stand over them and eat all of them without letting anyone else have one. Tell them you suspect they are poisoned and you feel that it’s your duty to taste all of them. Make stuff ahead of time. By this I mean, buy stuff ahead of time. You can get great little quiches and spanikopitas (spelling?) and stuff like that at the grocery store. Buy some good tas…

WAX is "Not your Friend" All hair removal methods have tricked women with their promises of easy, painless removal - The Epilady, scissors, razors, Nair and now...the wax. My night began as any other normal weeknight. Come home, fix dinner, play with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my mind for the next few hours: "Maybe I should pull the waxing kit out of the medicine cabinet." So I headed to the site of my demise: the bathroom. It was one of those "cold wax" kits. No melting a clump of hot wax, you just rub …

Does anyone else watch this show? They are currently showing reruns of the 1st season on TLC. The 2nd season starts in March. The show basically follows the Roloff family who live and work on their farm. There are 4 kids. The parents (Matt & Amy) are both little people and only one of their sons, Zach is also a little person. This is really a good show. I have been sitting here in tears watching the episode w/the 5 year old boy Chance. He was soooooo adorable. I can't wait to see the 2nd season. I have definitely fallen in love w/this show. I just started watching it this week.

Today I finally got around to doing one of those things I've always meant to do....I scanned all the credit cards in my wallet, DH's wallet, and the lock box (where we store cards we don't carry and seldom use). The reason for my sudden burst of common sense? We either lost a credit card, or it was stolen. Both, I think, actually. It probably fell out of my purse while I was removed another card. Anyway, we've had the card 18 months and never used it. It was one of those deals where you're pre-approved - just sign here and save 10% on everything you purchased today. I don't seem to budge on the scale but I noticed my belly looks terrible today when I took a shower. I'm absolutely thrilled. I know that I have dropped a couple of pants sizes though the blouse size remains enormous. I want to have a tummy tuck though I can't afford it. Well, maybe I can. My friend had one for about $7000! Updated: 11:35 a.m. CT Dec 20, 2006 LOS ANGELES - A one-month-old baby has been checked and cleared by a Los Angeles hospital after being put through an airport X-ray machine. Authorities at Los Angeles International Airport say an inexperienced traveler mistakenly put her grandson through a carry-on luggage screener. A startled security worker noticed the shape of a child and immediately pulled the baby out. A spokesman for LAX says the incident Saturday was an innocent mistake. In 1988, an infant in a car seat went through an X-ray machine at the airport.

  26. After watching the finale of the biggest loser, I was really inspired, but I was also a bit confused. Most of the contestants had lost tons of weight, many over one hundred pounds. On top of that, it happened over an 8 month period. However, did anyone else notice that no one seemed to have hanging skin, or that apron pudge in their spandex shorts? Especially the men who had such bellies before? Now don't get me wrong, if none of them had TT than thats great news for all of us, because we could look as great without PSurg as they do. But either they all had TT, which seems unlikley and like a bit of a scam on viewers. OR They don't have much hanging skin, which also…

Singing carols while we decorate and it is just a blast. Here is our tree this year and what it looked prior to the finished product. I am including some pics of our food items too. They are so NOT band friendly but hey I don't have a band anymore so there. LOL!! Here is the PRE-DECORATING pics.

The other night on ABC they ran a new show called "Basic Instincts". Did anyone else catch that episode. It was quite thought provoking and made you think what you would do in different situations. One of the set ups was a caregiver being verbally abusive to a elderly man in a city park. Cameras were hidden, and it was interesting to see how many people would intervene, call 911 or just ignore the whole situation. Even though it was all staged, it brought tears to my eyes, and made me think what I would do to help that old man. The other situations were public cell phone use, unruly children and public displays of affection. It is good to know there are still good people …
