I know everyone thinks it can't happen to their loved ones, but there is a scourge going through the USA. It is called Crystal Meth. Montana recently started an add campaign that is visually shocking, but meth usage is down 50% and pre-employment drug screening shows a 70% decrease in meth positives. HBO will air a documentary tomorrow night call "Montana Meth". If you have children or grand-children, or know people with children, please watch it. need to vent... lost my job today (actually I resigned but it was accepted and wanted immediately) but the kicker is the person who stabbed me in the back was my own sister - she wants my job and has set me up to look stupid on several occassions recently. I am still preband .... i missed my appointment with the dietiatian due to cleaning out my office had to reschedule for 2 weeks from now - i celebrated with a cherry coke (not diet) and 2 choc chip Cookies - now I am mad at myself for eating that junk!

I had surgery about 1 wk ago and tonight I have such a band around my chest, I feel like I can't breathe. what can I do. have not eaten since 330 and had a popcicle then. had a gas x strip and wonder if it did not melt enought, any suggestions.

In order to save time, hubby and I are thinking about flying when we go on vacation this summer. We have never been on anything but a small 4 seater plane so this is new to us. What airlines are the best when it comes to accommodating larger people? I have horrors of getting on the plane and the seat or the belt being too small. Okay, here's the story. My DH has been friends with a certain Mr. P for over 40 years. Mr. P married a woman 14 years older than himself and they have been wed for 35+ years. Just wanted to know if 91,100 sounds like it's a little high for a hospital to file a claim for 91,100 For Lap Band ? I was there for 9 hrs. Had a few shots of finergin , and wasnt even hooked up to moniters for most of the time. The sugery would have been 18,000 as a self pay. We wonder why ins. is so high, and why we have to work so hard to have them cover things.

I don't think this is lap-band related, but thought someone might have some info. I went to donate blood today, and was turned down because they said I have an irregular pulse, and in feeling it for myself, I sure do. It will beat anywhere from 3 - 10 times, then pause, like it's skipping a beat, then have a stronger beat, then back to the 3 - 10 more normal beats. As far as I know, it's not done this before. I take my pulse while doing Curves, and in all the times it's been taken by medical people, no one has said anything. I have an appt with my PCP tomorrow, but I'm just wondering if this something I should be really worried about or what? :help:

I just spent the last 8 hours on a class field trip, doing stream sampling for my analysis of aquatic ecosystems class. We went to four different sections of a local stream and got to do fish sampling by electroshock, macroinvertebrate sampling, seining, habitat analysis, etc. So now I am tired, sunburned, and quite wet and dirty (I waded into the stream in my pants and shoes, instead of wearing hip waders or rubber boots).
