The infamous Mr P saga continues, believe it or not. Are you ready for the latest installment? Mr P was married on schedule (less than 3 weeks after burying the first Mrs P). Now Mr P has announced that he is going to adopt the new Mrs P's granddaughter (age 17). This girl has lived with her grandmother for a number of years because her mom is a druggie and totally out of the picture. Her dad, however, is still around and has been, not the greatest parent in the world, but not a complete no-show, either. He bought her a car last year, for example, when she got her license. And as soon as she moved in with Mr P and his (then) lover, he came over to meet Mr P and …

OK, so it's taken me a bit longer than it should have to post the picutes of my perfect little angel. But anyone that's a mother, certainly understands that I have been pretty occupied with this little one. Stats: Natalie Claire Williams Born on August 31st at 1:04 PM 6 lbs, 15 oz. 19 1/2 inches I had a NVD, with no complications during pregnancy. I gained a total of 22 lbs, and today (3 weeks after delivery) I am 3 lbs. heavier than I was pre-pregnancy. I got a partial unfill in my first trimester, and by my second trimester I had thrown all of the band rules out the window. I pretty much ate whatever I wanted, just couldn't eat as much of it. Miracle fruit makes everything taste sweet The Wall Street Journal ARLINGTON, Va.At a party here one recent Friday, Jacob Grier stood on a chair, pulled out a plastic bag full of small berries, and invited everyone to eat one apiece. "Make sure it coats your tongue," he said. Grier's guests were about to go under the influence of miracle fruit, a slightly tart West African berry with a strange property: For about an hour after you eat it, everything sour tastes sweet. Within minutes of consuming the berries, guests were devouring lime wedges as if they were candy. Straight lemon juice went down like lemonade, and goat cheese tasted as if it were "covered in powdered…

New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury makes sneakers affordable By Mike Celizic TODAYshow.com contributor As a kid growing up with six siblings, Stephon Marbury couldn’t understand why his parents couldn’t scrape together $150 to buy him the hot sneakers his heroes wore in the NBA. When he grew up and understood how much money that was and how little his parents had, he decided to do something about it. His solution? A $15 quality basketball shoe worn in games by the star point guard of the New York Knicks, Stephon Marbury. “Anybody who grew up in a household with a lot of brothers and sisters, they know how it is as far as, you know, everybody wearin’ the same …

  28. I know everyone thinks it can't happen to their loved ones, but there is a scourge going through the USA. It is called Crystal Meth. Montana recently started an add campaign that is visually shocking, but meth usage is down 50% and pre-employment drug screening shows a 70% decrease in meth positives. HBO will air a documentary tomorrow night call "Montana Meth". If you have children or grand-children, or know people with children, please watch it. I dare you to watch these YouTube videos from the Montana ad campaign.

Okay, here's the story. My DH has been friends with a certain Mr. P for over 40 years. Mr. P married a woman 14 years older than himself and they have been wed for 35+ years. He is a wonderful husband. Several years ago, Mrs. P developed Parkinson's Disease, which gets progressively worse as time goes on and ravages not only the body, but the mind, as well. Mrs. P cannot be left alone, so for the last couple of years, Mr P has engaged the services of a caretaker on a daily basis. The caretaker is a nice lady - long since divorced and reasonably attractive. Mr P feels that the time is very near when he must consider putting his wife in a nursing home. He ge…

Is America ready for a woman president? 2008 is the year we find out, but what about Bill? If Hillary Clinton is elected to the White House, what role will her husband play? First Gentleman? First Spouse? Maybe Bill could take some lessons (or find some sympathy) from Daniel Granholm Mulhern, husband of Michigan's governor, Jennifer Mulhern Granholm. Speaking at the National Governors Conference, where he was elected chair of the spouses' group, the governor's husband said: “I have learned how to be a potted plant, and in a weird twist of fate, I get more attention because I’m a guy in a traditional female role.” The couple cemented their egalitarian union…

As much as I LOVE my 3 kids and seek perfection for each of them, Im learning to accept the idea that its in their genes to eventually become overweight. My mother loved me so much that she stayed on me constantly about my weight. She thought that by constanly creating imbarrasement by my size/looks, that it would motivate me to change. Didnt work. I don't think this is lap-band related, but thought someone might have some info. I went to donate blood today, and was turned down because they said I have an irregular pulse, and in feeling it for myself, I sure do. It will beat anywhere from 3 - 10 times, then pause, like it's skipping a beat, then have a stronger beat, then back to the 3 - 10 more normal beats. As far as I know, it's not done this before. I take my pulse while doing Curves, and in all the times it's been taken by medical people, no one has said anything. I have an appt with my PCP tomorrow, but I'm just wondering if this something I should be really worried about or what? :help:
