Hey, I haven't posted in QUITE awhile, sometimes I have good days sometimes I don't.. I don't always eat right, but I can't stuff myself like before... I'm actually thinking of trying out for the Biggest loser, because I could really use some psycho-analysis from Jillian, and some good fitness coaching.... I've recently broken the 500 pound mark. I started at 670, lost 20 pre-op, and 150 post op. If I can get to 470 (currently 495, that will be 200 since I began the Journey last May- - if I can get to 450 by July 2nd, that will also be 200 since my surgery... those are my two goals for now.... Here's some updated pics, showing my progress.

Soo Happy to report today is my 1 year mark!! It's been a great year with lots of happy moments a some not so happy. Overall still so happy with my decision to have the sleeve! I started at 245 and now weigh 160! I'm 5'5. The discouraging part is that I had my gal bladder removed on Feb 21st and havent lost any weight since then! Not sure why but i gotta say it has bummed me out! And at 1st i kinda gave up but then i realized that im not hurting anyone but myself so i kicked myself in the rear and got back on track! I'm still not eating 100% healthy but i'm on the right track! I work out 4 days a week. I am truely excited to begin year 2 of this life changing journey!…

Ok, I debated about posting this as I'm still bit insecure about all my loose extra skin but my hubby said its not very noticeable in these pics and I so wanted to share. We went to the beach for Mother's Day on Sunday and it was the first time I have worn a bathing suit without a huge coverup dress in the last 9 years. Here are two pics I'm 7 months out and 90 pounds down, about 15-20 pounds to go!

Had a great NSV this weekend that I just had to share with a group that would understand. Spent the weekend in Green Bay for a football camp with my son. Temps were in the upper 70's/low 80's, sun shining, and a good amount of walking. Before my surgery I would have been sweating like a pig just getting out of the car. The walking would have killed me. This weekend I was able to keep up with my sons team when they were on the move and didn't sweat once, even sitting on the metal bleachers. Such a great feeling. Thanks for letting me share. Jen

Yesterday was my 6month Surgiversary. I am proud to say that my total weight loss is 41lbs. Yes,I felt I should have lost a little more, but I'm still a work in progress. I'm excited about this journey, because it only gets better. The Lapband has given me a new lease on life. Im loving the idea of buying new clothes, especially SKINNY JEANS!!!! I started at size 18/20, now I'm in between size 12/14. My confidence has been boosted by the many complements that I have received. Thanks to you guys who always show me continued support.

I am now a size 14 lol I just couldn't believe it! I felt like a fish in the Water ... Not like the fish out of water! Lol do I make any seance ? Any way my point is: I know I'm not at goal yet but I already feel like a total success story from a size 24 plus to at 14 .... Oh yeah!

It is 4 months today since.. I woke up before the sun, drove to the hospital full of apprehension, ready to flee the scene before someone sedates me, but putting up a brave front to keep my mom's nerves at ease.. got greated by some friendly nurses and a funny anesthesiologist, everyone wishing me an advanced happy birthday (it was 9 days from the surgery..) and got sleeved into a new life. I cant believe it is 4 months already..! I remember everything from my surgery day (up until I was transfered to the operating table o'course) like it was yesterday... Deciding to not run away from the hospital was probably the second best decision of my life.. Having said that…

I was looking through old photos today and hadn't realized how different I look! I was sleeved on November 16, 2012. This picture was taken in March or early April, but I'll post another soon. First photo is probably from March 2012. One year apart, I was startled by the difference! There are very few pictures of my whole body from the last several years. Highest known weight 330 Surgery weight 310 Now- 233 Time of the second picture, probably 245lbs

Hello all..I'm 6 months out today, and feeling good. Weight loss has slowed a bit but I blame it on my lack of exercise ..eating hasn't been too bad. Starting weight 391 Today. 282 I want to lose another 40 or so pounds. I'm 6 foot 3..so don't wanna be puny lol..never thought I'd worry about getting too skinny..amazing tool we have been blessed with. Adding years to my life to be able to enjoy my kids for a long time. Here's a pic before surgery and one a few days ago. Dont mind the hockey nut I took a pic with lol..couldn't resist not taking a pic with him.

I exercise every day I can bend over and tie my shoes I can cross my legs I no longer need seat belt extender on airplanes I can wear heels I wore a dress for the first time in 8 years 2 weeks ago I went hiking with my grand kids yesterday and we had to stop for rests because THEY were tired, not me! So I am almost the months out and down 49.5lbs. I may make 50 by my three month mark. But dang it I still see a fat chick. I'm almost 1/2 way to goal but I think I still look fat. I'm now in an 11/12 as opposed to a 20w. But I don't see it. Ugh. I know this is a minor issue, but it is starting to really bum me out.

Sleeved 03/13/13 and down 33 lbs in 2 months and 53 since highest ever.

I posted this on another board the other day but thought I'd add it to the success stories. I'm down a total of 85lbs, from 332 to 247, and half way to goal! That's including preop op weightloss. I've lost 53lbs since surgery 12/10/12. Ideally i want to get to 165. That leaves about 82lbs to goal.

I was 332 lbs...... I flew to Mexico with my mother to embark on a journey to change my life!! All I can say is WOW... what a difference one year makes!! I have surpassed my goal and have lost 135 lbs. Dare I say that my journey has been relatively "easy"???? YES!! It has!! There was no pain.... only a general soreness in my abdomen..... No gas, no nausea, nada!! I have a little reflux here and there but daily a daily OTC med that keeps everything under control. I have exercised... some... not a lot and my body has transformed!!! My surgeon Dr. Ariel Ortiz is AMAZING!! He and his staff were very accommodating and have been extremely supportive. I have made l…

I was 8 months post OP on the 17th. I hit onderland, and the photo i attached is exactly one year apart. My husband puts his truck in a truck show every year. The weight loss really didn't stand out to me until i compared these side by side. Amazing! Worth every moment!

I am struggling with the social aspect of food. My friends are all over weight and it seems like all they are interested in is meeting for dinner or meeting for happy hour for drinks. I am trying to encourage them to do other activities that aren't focused on good but no one is interested. I am starting to decline offers to go out and am starting to feel a little lonely. I am trying to change the focus of my life in what I consider an environment that is dangerous to my weight loss success. Has snyone else had this problem and if so, how did you handle it?

The past year has FLOWN by very quickly, and here I am, ready to post some surgiversary pics and stats. It seems amazing how quickly the time (and pounds) have flown by. I won't say it hasn't had some moments of difficulty, frustration and struggle. They have been FAR outweighed (HA!) by fun, excitement, joy, a sense of accomplishment and the knowledge that THIS is my new, healthy life. Getting the VSG was the best decision of my life. I would do it again 1000x. I've attached some pictures of me pre-op (with my surgeon, Dr. Ramos Kelly!) and a few days post-op (in Mexico). And some more pictures of me now (loving life, sports and still a work in progress). An…

I couldn't figure out how to add these photos to my last post, so I'm putting them here. I had surgery November 16th 2012. The first is a pre-op picture from last March. I weighed about 330lbs. The workout gear picture was taken April 25th, 2013 right before doing a C25k unit. I probably weighed 237? The blue/white dress pictures were taken May 4th, 2013, and I weighed 234lbs. Highest weight- 330 Surgery- 310 Current- 233 My clothes fit VERY differently when I'm wearing shapewear. In the blue/white dress I'm wearing a shapewear slip which definitely smooths out the skin and makes clothes fit better. I'm not wearing shapewear in my workout clothes. I find…
