Funny Yet Sad :)
So this past weekend I got together with some of my very best friends for a bon-fire and a fun drunken time. I'm trying to live out my final days of drinking lol anyway, my best friend shan and I were talking about the surgery and like all my best friends she is worried and doesn't want me to go through with it, but supports me. She broke down and cried. as tears ran down her face she yelled "you will never have a huge steak with blue cheese crumbles again!" I laughed so hard. Though it is so sweet my friends care so much, I am finding them trying to talk me out of it, I'm going to do it, but have you guys felt with people trying to talk you out of it?

Men With Before And After Pics
So I have seen a ton of women's before and after photos, but not of men..I am trying to gain some inspiration. Is it because more women have than men? Is there a reason for that? If you dont mind share some. I love seeing all of your results and makes me less scared of surgery.

Nurtrition And Aetna
so yesterday was my first visit with my nutritionist, It went very well. This is the first requirment through aetna select, I must meet with her four times and be in a restricted diet for three months. I learned alot about nutrition and how things are going to change before and after my surgery. My current BMI is 42. I will obviously loose some weight while on this restricted diet. therefore lowering my BMI some, so would my insurance (which requires a BMI of 40) deny me coverage if I lower my BMI? I know I can loose weight by dieting, but the problem is, is that I cant keep it off, I am so tired of being heavy all my life, I couldnt bare it if they turned me down. Does anyone else have aetna select? and what is your story with them? here is my starting pic!

Scaredand Excited
So I have always been a big guy, My BMI is currently 42. Exercise and diet never worked for me. Id loose a small amount of weight and gain it back, I come from a family where they are all heavy and have diseases associated with being obese. So I decided to have this surgery through Abington hospital in Pa. I am in the process of lab work, and seeing my specialist for atena select approval. I hope all this work will get me approved. My friends and family don't understand I feel like. Some are thinking that I'm looking for an easy way out, but I'm not!!! ive been doing my research and I know that this surgery is far from easy. Here is the thing I know I want this surgery and I will go through with it, but I just don't Want to die! I'm terrified when I go under I wont wake up. Has anyone else been this scared. Luckily I have my partner with me every step, but he has doubts of his own. Any advice for me? My mind is going a mile a minute. I am just excited to feel happy and healthy and actually love myself.
