On a scale of sloths, how do you feel today?

Recommended Posts

And speaking of sloth- like behavior, I finally heard from my Bariatric Clinic at OSU. Maybe they were off in the jungle somewhere just hanging from a tree. Told me my August Appointment will be my Yearly Checkup, haven't decided if they want another Endoscopy or Blood Labs before then. Perhaps they may bring me into the loop about this? Very sloth- like reasoning there.

OH, NOOOO! Poor thing!!! :(

I thought it was a neck bandanna or something.....

Ok, so I have effectively established that I am, in fact, whatever number sloth has corrective lenses.

Number 13, maybe??? LOL!

And I believe I am most like #8, less than energetic even for a Sloth!

Definitely number 8! I'm currently 3 1/2 weeks post-op total hip replacement. After I take my morning walk, or go to physical therapy this is the position I assume on the couch or recliner with my leg elevated and iced! By the way, this hip surgery was way more painful than my gastric bypass. I had no pain with the bypass.

      RE: the running/training
Honestly it started with me just doing laps around the kitchen that first post-op week.
In a week, I graduated to walking up and down my street, then to walking around the block every day.
The distance increased, then the speed.
Then I started running little spurts during my walks, then to alternating 1km runs with 1km walks.
And now I can do a continuous 10k (which I totally did for the first time this morning...so full of myself about it today, it’s disgusting.)
Just do something everyday and slowly increase speed and duration, next thing you know you’ll be one of those odd “running people” (who I never understood pre-op, but now totally get, lol)

Happy Sunday! I like weird people. Normal people are boring! :) I began following you and wanted to know if there are any other members you would recommend? My surgery is 8/29/19 and I want to learn as much as possible. Have a great day and thanks so much for the website.
