What Exercise Did You Do Today?

Recommended Posts

Mowed the yard....yesterday weed eating...yard maintenance may kill me!!!!!

HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 221.6

I feel your pain! But I have got to say it SO good to have the energy to do all of my yard work!! Mowing with a push mower, weeding and raking... I would have NEVER been able to do any of that last year!! It's tough work, but I am thankful for it! (burns some calories too!!)

Walked 45 minutes again...having chronic pain is keeping me from working out as hard as I'd like...but I'm glad I'm where I'm at...a year ago I was in so much pain I couldn't move.

So frustrated...had a nerve block yesterday in my hip and could walk about a mile today. I need to be gentle with myself and realize I can do what I can do each day. Oh well. Progress not perfection.

Today I walked to the store and backs. I just got the approval to exercise again after months of not being able to exercise, because of injuries. So I thought I would start slow and work me back to an hour and a half to an hour and forty five minutes. I'm preop, and never liked to exercise and its a new coping skill that I've added on to my list

I'm post op 10 days and able to walk about 2 miles but that is all I can do. How long does it usually take to be able to get back to normal. Before surgery I could jog/walk 4 miles.

60 min on the elliptical

I love the elliptical, I also do it for 60 minutes, and people who I know that exercise and are in shape don't see how could do an hour and that they can't even do it for an hour. I've finally got the all clear to go back to exercising which has been for almost 4 months or so I would get hurt, and the first injury it wouldn't heal and they thought I needed surgery, finally got that healed then my bulging disc acted up went back to pt, then I severely sprained ankle, and just today I had my last pt appointment knock on wood (knock knock)

:) I bought a commercial machine and I do the fat burner one for 30 minutes and then repeat. (for some reason that program will only let you do 30 minutes max. I don't know why so you have to do it twice) Tonight was my first night to get back up to 60 minutes since surgery. I've been at 30 and 45 forever! I had an ACL reconstruction in 05 and this is the only high cardio I can do comfortably. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
