Hello, all! I'm Lindsay, and I will be exactly 4 months post-op tomorrow. I'm about 75 lbs out, so I thought it'd be a good time to post progress pictures. Here are some facts:

Date of surgery: 6/6/2012

Age: 25

Height: 5'11

Highest weight: 383

Weight on date of surgery: 368

Current weight: bouncing between 308 and 315 for the last FIVE WEEKS. ANNOYING.

Approximate weight loss: 70-75 lbs

Goal weight from my doc: 150-155

Weight left to lose: about 150-155 (eeek)

HIghest pants size: 26

Current pants size: 22(tight)/24

I've posted a few times on this site how I'm frustrated that 75lbs lost= one pants size drop for me, but lots of you gave a lot of great insight (larger sizes are further spaced apart than lower sizes, since I'm tall, theres more area to lose from, etc). I've taken lots of progress pics in different outfits, but in these pics, Im trying on a size xxl shirt from Old Navy that fit years ago but had been way too tight recently (as you'll see in the pic, I couldnt even pull it down over my stomach). The jeans are a size 22 that were always a bit snug, but I chalked it up to them being skinny fit...yeah right. Before surgery, they werent even close to buttoning.

The first picture was taken the week before surgery in early june, the middle picture is mid-august, and the last picture was taken today. It doesn't fit perfectly, but its progress! And please excuse that horribly offensive first shot where my stomach and underwear is exposed. Not cute. post-51768-13838396265706_thumb.jpg post-51768-13838396266325_thumb.jpg

I love the way you did your pics! That's awesome. Congratulations!

I am technologically challenged and I had no idea how to attach more than one picture, so I opened up all of the pics in my iPhoto, and then I just took a screenshot of my desktop (shift + command + 3 on a mac) which turns it into a picture.

Thanks so much, everyone! As everyone says, photos really do help to see progress. I look in the mirror and I barely see any differences, but the pictures definitely make it clear. Again, all of the kind words help during this whole process, so thanks again!

Great idea wearing an outfit from too small to too big! I think it really shows your progress! I'm going to do the same with an outfit I wore yesterday and my daughter took a photo of me in it. I've read about stalls or plateaus and they say it's normal after a big loss. Hang in there girl- your next smaller jeans and t shirt size is coming soon!! God bless!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
