Seeking Buddies 5'2" & Under

  • Popular Post

I wanted to start a forum for members who are pre or post op and are 5'2" and under. I am 4'9" and post-op. In 4 months, I have lost over 50 lbs and would like to connect with others of my body type so we can compare stories and support each other.

I wanna join! I wanna join!

I'm 5 ft. 2 and a half though. :P I never thought I could get disqualified for something for being too tall!

  • 2 weeks later...

I would like to join I'm 5'2 266.6 pounds today. I'm in southern California, I am a Kaiser Permanente patient. I plan on having surgery in West Los Angeles soon hopefully. I have completed all of their requirements and waiting for the call to schedule an appointment with a surgeon.

How is everyone doing? I'm anxious to follow your progress.

I found an old WW boom and was sad to see that at 204 I was still a size 18. I'm a very tight 20, refuse to buy anymore clothes for now.

June 28th too! So exciting to have another short person on the same date.

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted. Life got busy, we've sold our house and are trying to buy a new one, but we live in Silicon Valley and houses are hard to come by, and we've been in a few bidding wars and it's making me crazy! AND when I'm stressed I look for food, and now I can't, so I'm working on that. Fun abounds! Mama's stressed, the kids are stressed and the dog is napping in the sunshine. Oh the life.

So I've lost (at least) 40lbs from my surgery date of feb 29/12, so I'm bringing up the rear, but I'm okay with that. (I haven't weighed myself in over a week, so not sure of the exact number, but last time is was like 42ish.)

I've signed up for my first triathlon, and I've started running which is something I've always hated, but it's so much easier with 60+ less pounds hanging off of me. (I lost 20 before surgery)

Anyhow, to all my shortie sleevers, I love you all! I see all of your messages since they are sent to my email. It's such a breath of fresh air for me! I'm not alone!

I was thinking of starting tomorrow and I also can't wait for this to be over and sleeved! :)

Im 5'1'' and 218 lbs.

Not sure when Im having my sleeve surgery getting my finance together may have to go to Mexico Cancun Dr. Perez dose any body know this surgeon?

his fee is $6000 hopefully 6 to 7 months. :(

Sleeved on 5/17 - last time I weighed I'd lost 22lbs - that includes Pre-op diet. I'm 5'2; started at 210lbs. This is week 4- I got dehydrated and actually passed out at work on Monday morning and was transported to hospital via ambulance. I got fluids and was fine. Since then I've been drinking like a fish. I feel Water logged. This week has been a struggle to eat - yuck. The smell of food turns my sleeve! Still having some dizziness, fatigue, headaches, nausea and grouchy as a hornet. I've felt great til this week. I'm really not able to exercise yet due to the dizziness. I know this is temporary and it actually is getting better each day. Protein & Vitamins are a must for me. Cannot skip them. If I do, I can hardly get out of bed! I have found the mornings are much more difficult for me than prior to surgery. My guess is from the lack of food & water during the night. Anywho... Still very excited about a new life!
