  1. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 - so thankful for a good report!
  2. I've had a vaso-vagal response as well - but it was from dehydration. Dr said a true response like the one I had doesn't happen often or to many people, but it can and does happen to vsg patients. It scared me enough to make sure I make more of an effort to stay hydrated. I can't imagine what would have happened if I'd been driving or not at work in an office full of nurses.
  3. Wow... You're all doing so awesome! I was sleeved 5/17 and since my Pre op diet (May 1st) I've lost about 25-27lbs. It's been quite a learning experience!
  4. My Doctor's nurse is saying 1) I'm not drinking/eating enough 2) Dehydration 3) hypoglycemia 4) It's okay to drink full strength apple juice if I'm not able to eat and that my health is more important than sticking to a strict "no sugar" regimen. 5) Never ever ever go as long as I did without taking in something - even if I'm not feeling great.
  5. No... Everyone is working today - where I should be as well!
  6. Yesterday I got to work and meeting with 2 coworkers and I stood up from my chair and that's the last thing I remember. I got cold, clammy, diaphoretic and from their accts I clinched my jaws, my pupils were fixed & dilated and I was completely unresponsive. They're nurses, so they tried to get some sugar down me, then checked my blood pressure - I didn't have one. They put me in the floor with my feet above my head and called 911. By the time the ambulance got there (10 mins) I was coming around. They did all kinds of scans & tests and all was normal. I have an appt with my surgeon this morning. I'm terrified of this happening again! If I'd been alone or driving, I would have died. They checked my blood sugar and it was like really low even after them pouring sugar down me. I had no warning signs, no weird feelings or anything. I'm 26 days post op. I have an hour to drive to dr and I'm praying this doesn't happen again. I had bfast already and I'm going to sip on some juice. At this point, my safety is more important than not drinking sugar filled juices Anyone else have this happen? It was scary!
  7. 5/17 - and down almost 10lbs since surgery; had lost 10 prior to.
  8. Wow... You just made my day! Thank you for sharing!! So proud of you!
  9. I didn't know it came in liquid form! Thank you!
  10. I have taken Prozac for quite a while, but had to stop prior to surgery. Now I'm 14 days post-op and not sure what to do. Do I restart? They're capsules. Do I get on another? I'm confused. My pcp basically left it up to me. :/
  11. Pre op I took Vyvanse daily for ADHD. I went back to work today and restarted my normal dose. I was in high gear all day like a rat on crack ... And still am at 4am. I took Ambien 10mg and it didn't even phase me. Anyone else have any experience or input? Miserable!!!
  12. Bahahaha thanks y'all! I needed the laugh!

  16. As the days go by I'm beginning to wonder if my dr even did a sleeve on me. Today is day #11 and I can hardly tell any restriction the last 2 days. Have I screwed up & stretched it already??? :'(
  17. See your primary dr - Ambien works great and cut in half it's super tiny!
  18. Well... I had my sour cream & guacamole... and it was pure HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Oh Mary... I'm so sorry! There are so many options to control the vomiting! Phenergan gel that you apply to the wrist is amazing. I couldn't handle ice chips or water when I first started - especially if the water was cold. You're in my prayers... please keep us updated. I speak healing over you in Jesus' name!! Read Jeremiah 29:11 - it's just for you!
  20. Ditto, Kristi! I was sleeved on 5/17 as well!
  21. I was also sleeved 5/17! I'm having very thin mashed potatoes, cream soups thinned & blended with broth, Unjury chicken broth and that's about it so far and ricotta cheese w/low sugar marinara and topped with parmesan cheese and then microwaved. Got that one on here! Anyway - I am over everything being so sweet, too!
