I am 4'10" and my weight was 179.5 just prior to surgery...I lost 5lbs before the surgery and since then have lost 35.9 lbs. I am working to get to my goal of 50 lbs. It is slower for me since I didn't have a huge amount of weight to lose but this has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I feel so much better both physicallys and emotionally. I can tell you from my experience that this is great. Let me know how you are doing. Congradulations on your upcoming journey

I'm 5ft 1in and started out at 202. Lost 7 lbs on preop and 9 lbs since being sleeved on 4-3-12. My long term goal is 120 lbs :) 186 now.

Hi, I'm 5'1" and about 216. My insurance company requires a 6 month supervised diet before the surgery can be scheduled, which seems so rediculous! If I could diet successfully, I wouldn't be here! Good luck yo you!

So you were sleeved in Dec 2010 and reached your goal in May of 2011? Your ticker says reached your goal in May 2010 but that couldn't be possible if you weren't sleeved until Dec lol.

My 7 year old daughter said to me at the 80lbs lost marker- "Momma- what's that?" and poked it. It was my collar bone! I told her what it was and she said "Wow- you've never had one of those before!" Gotta love kids! They make all the little things great sometimes!
