  1. Thanks ladies. I will have to check him out...
  2. Thank you.... You will do great as well!!!
  3. I am sure this has been discussed before but...... I am going to ask again I had my surgery in Mexico with Dr. F. Garcia in May 2012. I am sure that I am done losing.... My weight has teetered between 117 and 120 for the last three months (starting weight was 216). I have skin issues but nothing major...so I am not seeking to do any tummy tucks, lipo.... all i want is BOOBS... because right now all I have is skin and nipples... I went from a DD to an A cup... no bueno. I am looking to have a boob job done but of course the cost here in the states is crazy compared to the cost in mexico (this will be my third surgery in mexico). Please share your MEXICAN experience of your plastic surgery.... Thanks in advance Kisha
  4. I used my tsp (equivalent to 401k) for most of my surgery and financed the rest. Good luck
  5. Once you get the check, can you take it directly to whatever bank the plan uses and cash it out versus depositing it,... assuming its a bank that is local. Sorry that you are having to deal with this... I hope that there is something that can be worked out asap
  6. Dr. Fernando Garcia. I had my surgery done 5/22/2012 and would do it all over again. From the beginning when I contacted Alma (his coordinator), they were nothing but helpful and informative. I traveled with my mother and they even made sure she was taken care of (gastric bypass patient and diabetic) while I was there. Any question that I had before I got there, when I arrive, after the surgery, and when I got back home they were quick to answer. I am completely satisfied with my experience ...... check out my youtube channel for my progress www.youtube,com/ldeannepps
  7. So you think that because he is cheaper he is a not doing the job that you are paying him for?? Do this, ask him to take a picture of your stomach when it is removed. I didnt want to see mine, but one of the other ladies that had her surgery done on the same day requested hers and they did it. I sure he took out a good portion of my stomach... I went from 216 to 117 in less than a year....and it wasnt because he left my stomach in tack. Please set aside those worries...you will do great... and btw cheap doesnt always equate to fraudulent
  8. and his staff....ARE THE BEST!!!! #IJS
  9. Congrats!!! He is a wonderful doctor with a wonderful staff!!!

  11. The package provided by the doctor covers the gatorade and all the goodies that you get after surgery. that does not come from the coordinator....you should get that no matter what company you use. Although the coordinator may be the one that gets you the extras that you request..
  12. I have Verizon. You could call them and add a plan that covers you while you are there. I think it was 25 dollars or so. But I just opted to use skpye for calling and using the wi-fi for internet. you can indeed turn the phone on airplane mode and just connect to the hotel wifi... no roaming charges will incur.
  13. chips and popcorn are sliders as well.
  14. Alma was the best. You picked the right company and the best doctor (of course I am biased)!!!!
  15. I used Alma from ready for a change and have no compliants. The coordinators were both great and checked on me frequently. I had requested that I be the first surgery of the day, even though I was the smallest and least complicated case (they like doing the complicated cases first), and alma passed my message right along to Dr. Garcia and I was indeed first!!!! Whenever I had questions there was always someone there to answer them for me and it was usually within the hour!!!!
  16. Even though my bmi was 39, i opted to do the 2 week pre-op diet as well. I cheated during the two weeks, cause it was super hard, but I used the fact that I didnt have to do it for two weeks as an excuse I did fairly well though.. went from 216 to 209.... good luck, Dr. Garcia is the best!
  17. Hope everything went well. Can't wait for an update!
  18. Once it was comfortable for me (pain wise), I went right back to tummy sleeping!!! No issues here and I am 4 months out!!! Congrats and welcome to the losers bench!
  19. Congrats, keep up the wonderful work!!!
  20. I am so scared to try it... I am four months out and really havent tried it. I have heard too many people say dont do it. My mother had the gastric bypass and she cant do it. I really havent had an urgh to drink it.. I guess when it comes, I will try it... hope it doesnt do me wrong. hope the next time you drink it, you do better with it
