  2. You look gorgeous! I love the color too.
  3. rdoactv you will! I was scurrying away just 5 months ago. I never imagined I would be taking a picture with my daughter and even posting it on facebook so soon!
  4. Shrinkydinkme, I know what you mean about their graduations and all the photos being taken being an inspiration to looking good! I have another daughter graduating and going off to college next fall, so I look forward to looking better in those pictures than the last ones. Congrats to your success so far!
  5. Thanks everyone for the positive remarks! iegal, you are right! I have NEVER lost 48 pounds and kept it off, in fact the most I have lost at one time has been 35 and I have lost that and gained it back over and over...this is the first time I feel like it is gone for GOOD!
  6. I am exactly half way today at about 5 months out. I have had some frustrations with losing on the slow side, but I'm still losing and feeling great! I just saw my daughter off to college this past weekend so we were taking lots of pictures. I lost my before picture so I couldn't post it here, but it's on my profile.
  7. I've been slow going as well, but still losing and I have not gained. Even though it's been slow for me, I truly feel that I will keep going (even if slow) until I get to my goal and this tool really does prevent me from gaining back like I always have in the past.
  8. Grammy, I'm right there with you! It's been slow going for me, but I still feel great and still feel like I will lose the rest! I don't see myself going back to where I was. I'm taking a little longer than I thought, but it's still coming off and I feel great!
  9. I have had three C-sections and each one was very painful for me. The sleeve was a breeze for me compared to the C-sections...also you aren't caring for newborn after the sleeve!
  10. Joni, our numbers are very similar. Sleeved April 18, Pre-op weight 216, today 177 = 39 lost
  11. You are beautiful! Congrats on your awesome success!
  12. Short fat Italian girl here too! lol Right before surgery my 11 year old son was trying to make me feel better and said....'Mommy you are not fat, just a little husky" (bless his heart) but I hear you when you talk about growing up in an Italian family and loving to eat! It is not easy losing weight when life revolves around food! Anyway, I hope everything continues to go well for you, and congrats on the weight loss so far!
  13. Thanks for all the kind comments everyone!
  14. I know what you mean! My snoring was so bad, that I woke myself up all the time and also woke up with sore throats. Losing just a little has already helped so much. It will happen for you too!
  15. That is a great way to look at it! Thanks
  16. It's not a huge amount yet, but just 33 pounds off and I'm feeling so much better. I have a lot more energy and losing some in my neck has helped my snoring issues so much! I had fun shopping with my daughter and bought a new outfit for her graduation ceremony
  17. I think this really depends on so many things such as, age, genetics, how much you have to lose, and how fast you lose it etc. I'm not sure how much it will help, but I heard it's good to exfoliate the skin often to help circulation and to use Bio-Oil.
  18. Congrats! and Yayyyy for short people I'm 5'1" myself.
  19. I'm 5'1" and 6 weeks post op. My Starting weight was 216. I lost 11 pounds Pre-Op and 21 pounds since surgery. My Surgery was April 18. I stalled during week 4 and 5 but the weight started moving again after I dropped my carb intake.
  20. This was a very informative video. Thanks so much for sharing.
  21. I feel exactly like you described here and I'm praying it shuts off at two months. I am six weeks out now. I also have to get too bed early enough so I can fall asleep before the hunger hits. I'm taking PPI's twice a day. It is a real physical crazy hunger feeling. I'm just hoping that the hunger hormone goes away like it did for you.
  22. Did you try the Unjury? I don't really like too many of the shakes out there, but I do like unjury mixed with skim milk. It tastes like chocolate milk and doesn't have a bad after taste. Hang in there!
  23. I'm six weeks post op as well and feel that I can eat more than I thought I would. I don't know if what you are experiencing is common, but I hope it happens to me!
