twoboysandagirl got a reaction from Leslie620 in Am I Going Crazy? My Personality Changed.Yes...it is hormones. I am sure you have read this when you burn fat the fat releases hormones it has been storing like crazy and it make us a bit moody (or really moody) when you weight loss slows down and your body gets into a grove it stops. You will return to a "normal" you. Actually i think I am a bit more laid back now. But maybe you should ask my DH:)

twoboysandagirl got a reaction from Hannah55 in I Need Advice!I have heard that for some people their bodies just flip out on them and try their hardest to figure out what you are doing to them. For some I guess it takes a few weeks for their bodies the to catch up. I have faith that if you follow your surgeon and nutritionists guidelines you will succeed! Please keep us (or at least me) posted on your next few weeks and try not to get down. Oh by the way are you seeing inches come off? How are your clothes fitting?

twoboysandagirl got a reaction from 1Day1Life4Now in Shout Out To Beth MooreAny religious sleevers out there done the Beth Moore Esther study? I am on week 2 and in the lesson today she quoted a women that took a poll for her...she said for women "sometimes there is nothing that make you happier than seeing a close friend gain a couple pounds". Got me thinking...I dont ever want to think that way about other people....I wonder how many people feel that way about me?
What do you think? Do we (especially women) feel that way about others? I want to be happy for others who work hard at taking good care of themelves in an effort to be healthy. But am I disgracefully feel a little good when I lose more than someone else or make a goal first. Gotta work on that right....we are all headed in the same direction.
Just some thoughts...wondering if I am alone.

twoboysandagirl got a reaction from DanaInNewOrleans in My Protein Shake PanaceaJust a couple of thoughts...One thing I learned is that if I mix my protein shake and put it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight it was not frothy, it was smooth and well mixed. Also, after surgery my tastes changed drastically. When I was pre-op trying to loss required weight I used the syntex but after I couldnt stand it...so dont put stock in a company and make sure you buy it from a place you can return unused portion if you dont like it. Also, I am almost 2 years out and I still drink protein shakes just about everyday, so I have tried many combos and you dont have to stick to one thing.
Hope that helps.
Also, it was like 4 months before I hit my protein goal in one day.

But just to give you something to look forward to...I eat two small slices of thin crust pizza now at 16 months out. I havent tried brownies or popcorn.

twoboysandagirl got a reaction from blackanese25 in 5 Months Post Op And Im 16 Lbs From Goal! Prego Question N PicsYou look great...congrats on all your accomplishments...got to tell you the last pic you look so tall!
My doctor told me 2 years prior to surgery but when I went for my 1 year post op they hinted it would be ok. I think the 2 years is a carry over from the gastric bypass...and for those patients it is important because of malabsorption. I would give your doctor a call and be honest about the pill.
I have 3 kids and I will be 35 in a few weeks but still really want 1 more kid. Not sure how I feel about getting prego and gaining weight and taking my body through some thing further.

twoboysandagirl got a reaction from shangefan in 8 Days Post Op... Feeling Overwhelmed.I think it is great that you can listen to your body like that...I think you should keep questioning and staying in tune...but maybe (prayerfully) it is just your body saying what did you do with the other 7/8 of my stomach???
Keep us posted!

twoboysandagirl got a reaction from AliveAgain in Medical Alert BraceletMy doctor said it wasnt necessary, I asked because I knew the Bypass patients had to wear one. He gave me a card to carry in my walet that says what procedure I have had and it also asks resturants to sell me a kids meal...
I have never used it...kids meals are almost always fried or full of carbs.
