  1. Lisa Ford 168837, what are you struggling with?
  2. @kalimomof3 - I'm in San Antonio as well & am familiar with BAMC. Keep us posted on your journey. Wishing you the best.
  3. Welcome Kalimomof3 and congratulations on your decision. Who is performing your surgery?
  4. Now that I have had the procedure done I highly recommend BMI of Texas. The surgery was done at The Foundation Surgical Hospital. Everyone that I encountered during my journey at both BMI of Texas & Foundation have been wonderful. Four weeks post-op & still no regrets. Slowkat, what did you decide.
  5. There is a private group on facebook for May Sleevers. Send a friend request to Sharon Ivanauskas asking to be a member of the group.
  6. Welcome Nina88. You've come to the right place.
  7. CONGRATULATIONS cody0709!!!
  8. krenee, you can send a friend request to Sharon Ivanauskas and ask to be added to the May sleevers group.
  9. shane, I, too, have been experiencing the head hunger. When this rears its ugly head I get and do something to distract my mind. Typically I clean but you could also go for a walk or something that appeals to you.
  10. 1 WEEK UPDATE - I was sleeved 5/31/12 and am 13 lbs down! I feel good with this loss; especially since I am only 4'11.
  11. OTRsleever is correct, stalls are normal. Are you on a post-op diet?
  12. This is interesting to me. I, too, have federal BCBS and my requisite BMI was 40. I guess the difference in the state we each live in. I'm in Texas.
  13. CONGRATULATIONS peace1127!
  14. Glad you found us CantWait2Lose77. Wow! You are doing fabulous!
  15. I am now beginning my 3rd day post-op and realize the importance of getting in the fluids. I was up several times throughout the night with headaches. Drank water and it went away.
  16. Surgery went well and smoother than I anticipated. I am beginning my 3rd day post-op and will continue to work on getting my water in. Headaches are a #$@%^ without it.
  17. I just squeezed into the May sleevers group. I had surgery on May 30, 2012 so not much has changed. I love reading everyone's stories though as it is encouraging.
  18. Tinap & GivingItMyAll I was just sleeved on May 30, 2012. As many have shared, the surgery went smoothly and it has been virtually pain free thus far. Came home today from the hospital and other than fatigue I've been fine.
  19. It'll be here before you know it.
  20. oops georgia728 I failed to say I hope your surgery went well too.
  21. shangefan & chicagochic I hope your surgery went as smoothly as mine did. Welcome to the other side.
