5k run I could never do. Congrats!

I did join the shapes gym thru my medicare insurance. I can't get into one with a pool but if I take it safely I'll be able to get some all body exercise. Most of my joints have some sort of problen. So

I'll have to find the one that doesn't affect joints too much. They also have Zumba class size so will definitely give that a try.

I will be starting after vacation. Wish me luck.

Don't sell yourself short! Start with what you can do, and stick with it....VERY gradually increasing. You will amaze yourself at what you can do. The most important step is the first one... Congrats! :)

Nice CHILLY 26 mile ride here today. Layers...upon layers and its just the beginning of November. I think we're in for a long, cold winter here in the midwest. Happy Monday everyone! :)

You guys rock! I am still getting over being sick. I did get out in the yard yesterday and pick up black walnuts (geez probably 10 gallons). I feel like I lost most of the month of October and it sucks. Trying to get my strength back and plan on going for as much of a hike in the woods as I can tomorrow and raking leaves (with a mask). Sorry the blog feature isn't working but sure glad to see everyone continuing to post. Accountability and encouragement! That's what we all need no doubt.

I've had a lot going on too CG - my father-in-law is at John Hopkins with heart failure & multiple blood clots. My 15 year old daughter has a congenital heart problem & went to cardiologist on Friday and will most likely need open heart surgery soon (waiting for dr to call me) they are transferring her file to Miami Children's Hosp to see if and when she will have surgery. I'm so stressed too / I hope your father-in-law is better

and your work issues get straightened out!

If I hadn't had the band - the stress would have had me & I would have been eating all the time!

Thinking of you during this very stressful time and sending best wishes for your daughter's heart issues -- and your father-in-law as well. Take good care.....

It is nice to know that you are exercising on a regular basis after your lapband surgery.I really do applaud your efforts of trying to stay fit.Age is not a big factor, if you fit and healthy, then age is no bar for doing anything at all. There is just no need to do much of strenuous exercises.walking on a regular basis is good enough exercise in itself, for everyone of us.

My moms family is from that area. I have cousins aunts and uncles living in and around that area. My mom familys name is moon. Haven't seen any one from there in about 50 years. Sad....but life happens.

Sure would like to find out where they're at now. But don't know where to start. Have a good one. I live in hudson fl about an hour north of tampa.

Not being a slave to the scale and taking care of yourself just as a normal part of life is the way it should be. I'll give it a hell yeah for sure! Old habits are hard to break and I was always such a black and white thinker. It was 100% gung ho or nothing at whatever I was trying. Now I'm living life and taking things in stride. We all just need to keep moving forward and being the best me we can be. Accept our flaws and live a healthy, productive life.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
