Yes, lets do this! I am ready to go!

Yesterday, ate very clean. I was actually proud of myself. I made it to the gym Monday night, but didn't yesterday. I plan on going tonight.

I'm in. What do you guys think of a separate challenge post where we can check in with food/exercise?

Eating has been GREAT! Exercise, well, its been hit and miss lately. But I think about it all the time, does that count? lol.

Still doing WW and its going slow, but I really think I'm about to have some movement on the scale. I feel skinnier, but the scale hasn't moved - weird.

Hey all...been away for a while. Meetings. But I did hit the road this morning and did my four mile walk. Not quite energetic to run today..but maybe this week sometime.

My eating is all over the map. I'm going to try to focus and get with it.

Hey

How is everyone. I've been gone a couple of months and not doing so well. No weight loss. Had an unfil and then a refill. I was always hungary, and still am. Can't seem to get it right. But have been trying to exercfise more regularly. Talk to you all soon.

Let's do some kind of challenge. Something where we have a goal by a specific time. Like a "rest of May" challenge or a summer challenge. That way it's not so open ended and we don't get bored with it. What do you guys think?

I sure hope this works.....it's been waaaaaay too long since I've been on here! Every time I try it says I'm an invalid user and can't post. Won't make this too long so we can see if it works!

Oh My Gosh!!!! It worked!

Okay, so it's been since last November since I checked in. Have been getting hungry more often and noticed that I could eat more (not a lot) but most times more than in the beginning. I had lost 103 pounds but have since gained about 15 pounds of it back. So I went to my surgeons last Thursday and I've dilated my esophogus (sp!). They took the entire fill out for 2 months and then are going to do another upper GI and see if all is well and then start over with fills. Guess my question is....Has this happened to any of you? How did you handle it and do you have any suggestions? I have the 4cc band and there was something like 4.8 cc in it! Going to sign off now, hope I can get back into this tomorrow. Even if I don't I can still read posts.....just can't always comment. It's been great seeing your posts and hopefully tomorrow I can get caught up on what you guys are doing!

Lisa,

Did your doc say what causes the Dialated Esophagus? Just curious.

I don't think its happened to me, but I haven't had a fill since last year. I was scheduled for one yesterday, but called and rescheduled it for June 29th. I am still not sure if I really need one or not. Some days I feel like I do, other days I feel like I don't. Not sure what I should do.

Glad you were able to check in, we miss everyone checking in more often.

Caryn - how are you doing?

Juno - how life treating you - motherhood I'm sure has got you busy!

Sula - how are you doing? Hows the exercising coming?

I need to get my butt in gear with exercising myself. I am averaging only 3 days a week and need to get it to 5!

On a good note, I've dropped 5% since joining Weight Watchers. I'm down to 160 lbs! Only 5 more pounds and I will be at a healthy weight, and only 15 pounds until I reach my goal of 145!

They really don't know what causes it. For each person it could be different. It sounded like in my case, the band was tight enough to make me stop eating at about a cup of food but then I would snack an hour or so later out of habit. The food couldn't get through from my meal so then I packed more food on top of it from snacking and stretched everything out. One of the other things she said was that overeating causes it.....I really don't feel like I overeat.....just had started snacking on a way too regular basis! I didn't think there was a problem because I hardly ever got hungry, had restriction on a regular basis and could feel it make the little bubble burp thing it does when you eat something and can feel it go down.

I'm going to try and keep coming on here....this is the first time I've been able to get on two nights in a row for a really long time. I didn't even have to put my password in 20 times like I used to!! Hope to get caught up on how everyone is doing and maybe make me more aware of what I'm doing for the next couple of months. I really don't want to gain the weight back that I've already lost. Talk to you tomorrow!

how do they figure out the esophogas is dialated? Just a guess or is there a test?

I'm hit and miss on the walking/running/workout bit. If I ever get regular I think I'd be on top of it but...geez.

I'm not sure how to get motivated. I haven't even weighed in this week (I don't think I've ever purposely missed.) Need my head examined...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
