How are you, love? Has it been a better week... Snow storm pending? Time to come back to us here in Florida.

Im doing pretty much the same. Dreary weather here but no snow. It has dawned on me that maybe its seasonal and I do need the sun, its where I thrive.

I can't wait for warmer weather 🌈

Ok, it's decided, you need to split your winters between @Sophie7713 and me. It's not a vacation, it's therapy!

Post op day 17

Yay! I wore street clothes for the first time since surgery Jan. 21st to surgeons follow-up appointment yesterday. She said I was doing stellar. No swelling or healing issues. The tape was taken off all the stitches, and I am due back in 4 weeks. She would like me to continue wearing the compression garments (so I bought a second pair) for a total of eight weeks stating it's okay to take them off for an hour once a day, if bothersome. Actually, for me it's like a safe cozy body cocoon. A little black S&M fashion look? LOL. Guess I need to order a crop (will my English saddle riding jumping crop, do!?) kinky black stockings, handcuffs, black leather boots + belt? Haha. She prescribes that by wearing the compression the body can continue to heal, contour and evolve for premium results. Also, I am not to pad nor gauze any longer as she said the skin now needs to relearn their friction and sensory systems again. Come bedtime - I continue to prop up my back with pillow array and two under my thighs. Nothing else too exciting or exotic to report... Fluffy chick toy still a hit. Posies from a client.

Day 25 post op

I ventured out yesterday for the first time on my own driving to ladies book club, shopping for a gift and a light lunch. Bobby pouted - he's use to having Mom home 24/7 of late. The excursion was 9:00am - 2:30pm. I noted in the department store - I was beginning to fatigue and felt a bit dizzy. So I headed on home. It was great to be out and about on a balmy breezy 86 degree day (not too hot in the compression garments) however, certainly do not have my normal sprint or stamina back yet. When dressing, I did note I looked slimmer in frontal region. For now I just prefer soft cotton and stretchy outfits against my body. Happy Valentines Day!

30 days post op

Now past the 4 week mark - I really notice a difference! Feeling mostly "back to normal" and will continue to wear the compression garments another 4 weeks to total 8. I am thrilled with the results! Assessed current wardrobe today and seem to be settling nicely into XS/S tops, size 8 dress and 6/8 slacks in petites. Most interim clothing will need to be donated. Other basics go back to seamstress. Appetite, bowels and Water intake have returned to normal. Do not wish to loose anymore weight. Looking forward to moving into spring as the new stabilized me after an intense 16 months of bariatric research, planning, scheduling, gastric sleeve, nutritional and lifestyle adjustments and lastly, plastics. It's all good. So very thankful for the opportunity to have halted the obesity cycle.

I can see the difference too! You are looking positively SLIM.

+1 on the bare leg + nude shoes, you legs look longer already.

(are the dresses and jeans the spoils of your recent shopping spree? Love 'em)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
