What ya eating tonight?

I had a small sweet potato, with a tablespoon of i cant believe its butter,

And i boiled a boneless skinless chicken breast. With salt and pepper, curry, garlic powder and some soul food seasoning. After it cooked i put a tablespoon of BBQ sauce to the side so the bites of chicken wouldnt be to dry,

All was good, filled up quick even tho i was slow eating

Turkey "salsbury steak" and some veggies

Broiled salmon (coat w Dijon mustard and put under broiler) and roasted kale w/shallots and goat cheese (chop kale and shallots and toss in a bit of olive oil then roast at 350 turning till crispy then toss in a balsamic vinegar reduction and crumbled goat cheese). YUM!

1/4 cup retried Beans with melted cheese and guacamole. Yum!!

how many days are you post op? I would love some beans and cheese

I had surgery April 8. Was Clear liquids until April 13 when I went to full liquids. Started puree/some soft on April 20 and found that the refried beans not only fall into the puree category, but it also helps with getting Protein iin that doesn't come from a Protein shake. Have been losing steady and now down 20 pounds.

I had surgery April 23. I started the two week liquid diet on April 9. I weighed 274. As of today, I weigh 248. I am having a hard time getting my protein in. Everything made of powder taste nasty. I have tried Unjury and Isopure. The only thing I can drink is premier protein shakes. Any suggestions?

I have had great success with Performance whey Isolate (Vanilla Shake). I mix it with 10 oz. skim milk and add two packets of Splenda. I tried about 15 different types before I found this. It's 30 gms of protein per shake. I started out drinking two a day but then dropped one as my food is now supplementing the rest of my protein. Good luck!!

I had a fuzzy navel protein drink and 1/4 of a muffin for desert.

I m having jello right now as I'm almost two weeks po. I'm dying for food. Could've cried tonight when they told me pureed doesn't even begin till next week. I've been planning my good for two days now to only be let down lol.

I made chicken breast in the crockpot with onions soup mix, zucchini "noodles" sautéed with mushrooms a little olive oil, seasoning, and a little asiago cheese. I also made roasted Brussel sprouts. I could only eat a little of the Zoodles & sprouts of course but my husband and kids loved them! I have to say it was all delicious!

Yes, NewgirlfromMd, I'm with Mildred. Please share the recipe!

As for me, as I'm sick of chicken and fish and aren't allowed beef or pork yet, I'm having roasted turkey breast. I discovered today that my neighborhood HEB store roasts them fresh every day. I had some at lunch and will be repeating it for dinner. Probably with a small salad.

I am two days post op..... I will be having water and protein shake. ???? and of course not at the same time.

First day of stage 3. I had a scrambled egg. It was good. I was expecting amazing. I think I'm just happy to have the sensation of chewing and eating again more than anything.
