What Is Your New Favorite Drink?

Recommended Posts

My new favorite drink is Water, surprisingly. Ice cold water. I am just over two weeks out and literally everything is too sweet for me that I have to dilute it tremendously so that it practically tastes like water.

I got hooked on 7Eleven's sugar free slurpees' date=' particulary the cherry limeade!!! Then I start adding ice too it. Maybe hooked isn't accurate, ADDICTED is the truth! Lord help me, lol!!! But, give me some ice cold Water and my sleeve and I are content:)[/quote']

Those are carbonated- i'd be careful with that one. :)

SmartWater!! Only bottled Water my tummy will tolerate. I was always a water drinker and could drink any bottled/tap water prior to surgery.....but after surgery, I got nauseated drinking water even if I mixed in crystal light. My daughter introduced me to SmartWater and I have been drinking it for months! Nice, clear, crisp tasting water. So good I can drink it at room temperature. costco sells it cheap ($10.00 case)

I love the strawberry watermelon MIO. Be careful with the sparkling waters, they are full of carbonation and sleeves don't like them sometimes. Can cause a bad tummy ache.

Sure, take 12 ounce bag of vanilla coffee grinds and place in cheese cloth over a big tupperware or something u can out a cover on, then gradually add 6 cups of cold Water, make sure the grinds are covered in Water but still in the cheese cloth, cover with a lid and let it soak 12-15 hours. Then u can add ur favorite extract, I use vanilla lol and it's very vanilla. Use one tbsp or whatever u desire and add to the mixture after u strain the grinds. U may want to use another cheese cloth and restrain into a new bowl. (u can let it soak at room temp. , but refrigerate afterwards. Then to ice it I fill up a 20 ounce cup with one cup skim milk and 1/2 cup coffee mix, add my Splenda or sf Syrup and sip on my way to work. U can make any flavor u desire ;)

I like the Oceanspray flavor packets. Kinda hard to find' date=' but Kroger& Dillons carries them.[/quote']

Ditto on the Ocean Spray packets. They taste remarkably like cranberry juice.

Love nectar Protein Powder by Syntrax. I drink a scoop every Day in a 24 oz water bottle and to me it blows crystal light away plus you get around 24 grams of Protein per scoop. The one I like the most is the strawberry mousse flavor. It tastes just like Frankenberry Crunch Cereal and you just mix it with Water.< /p>

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
