  2. Mango Peach Green Tea from Crystal Light!!! Can't get enough!!
  3. I told my 4 year old that my tummy was broken, and the doctor was going to fix it so I could play on the floor more easily with him. Kimmie
  4. Lost 90 lbs and gained it all back... Very glad I had my surgery! Kimmie
  5. I wore the gown the whole time... Way more practical with all the things you're hooked up to in the beginning... Went home in sweats and a big tee. You will be swollen like crazy! I just spent 4 days in the hosp with a bowel obstruction and I can't believe how pumped full of fluids I am... Probably gained 10 pounds of water... My skin hurt from stretching! Kimmie
  6. Hi everyone, Just got home from 4 days in the hospital for a small bowel obstruction. They gave me an NG tube (tube through nose and down into stomach to drain my stomach and rest my bowels. Way worse than any recovery from my surgery in 12/2011... I just noticed that my mom left some kefir in the fridge, and sipped a bit of that, and I am actually feeling human again. In a way it feels like my first weeks of post op, just less pain. I was shocked at how many medical professionals have no idea about the sleeve... None... I could hear the nurses reporting at shift change that I had a gastric bypass, even though I always corrected them. And I had an NG tube, so there might have been real trouble if I actually had a gastric bypass. The other thing that shocked me was the whole "I told you so..." mentality from people I did not expect to be that way... The obstruction wasn't necessarily a side effect from my sleeve, could have been several things that caused it. But besides, it disturbs me to think how many people are out there wasting their time watching for me to fail... Way to go being supportive... I guess it serves THEM better to have me fat instead of more healthy... :-( Kimmie
  7. I didn't meet the weightloss goal the surgeon gave me, so I was postponed for two months. Kimmie
  8. I am 7 months out, and take pills with no problems! I didn't even have trouble in my early post op time, though the big calcium pills scared me! Good luck! Kimmie
  9. Oh, sweetie... So sorry for the loss of your brother... Take time to grieve and heal.. Best of luck and hugs for your family... Kimmie
  10. I was okayed for flexeril pretty quickly... I have a lingering injury from a car accident, and that's the only thing that helps me! good luck! Kim
  11. Take it from someone who had pulmonary embolisms not once but twice... take the shots.... so much better than the alternative!! good luck! kimmie
  12. Yay!! Tina, my sleeve twin!! Congrats on the success!!! xoxo, Kimmin
  13. I really like Chobani... Sort of reminds me of sour cream... Havent tried oikos yet!
  14. Lovenox is a pretty common anticoagulant so your cardiologist will probably approve it as long as he/she feels everything else is fine. I was on lovenox for well over a year (my body could never get clotting regulated on Coumadin) and luckily my co-pay was $25 for a monthly supply. Otherwise it is sooooo expensive. Hopefully you will get approved and insurance will cover that part! Kimmie
  15. I too feel lucky that we just moved to a new town, so many new people only know the "now" me... I have a really good friend who is trying hard to wish me well as she continues her struggle to lose weight the old fashioned way.. On the whole I feel lucky, but am very aware that the sabatuers can pop up at any time! Kimmie
  16. Good to see you guys in here and read about your progress and emotions! I was sleeved on 12/19/2011 and was 257 on surgery day, and was 205 this morning... Onderland is a tease.. Lol! I feel like I am a slow loser, but I know that I am trying to make good choices and exercise.. Not alway succeeding, but aware when I veer of program and usually get back to it quickly. I am so happy to be in size 12-14, and have so much more energy to keep up with my 5 year old. I still want to lose 50 more... I have already undone 11 years of gains, so I count that as good progress! Looking forward to the next check in! Kimmie
