  1. I am also 4 years out but I have the opposite problem. I hate eating. I keep a bottle of water with me at all times. You may change after the surgery. I stress ate all the time before surgery.
  2. I started taking my meds the day after surgery. I also developed pneumonia and gout so I have been on meds for that, as well. No problems so far and I am 16 days out. Pneumonia gone and gout just about completely gone. After reading posts on here I am guessing I got the sleeve of steel version. Nothing has made me sick or nauseous. But I do love the gummy vitamins ; )
  3. I have a couple of friends that are between 9 and 11 months out and they both told me that they stay cold. I have always kept my air at home between 76-78. 78 during the day and 76-77 when getting dressed and putting on make up. I am always warmer then...maybe from drying my hair but now I find 78 kinda cool and comfortable when getting done up for the day. Saves my elec bill and I hate being sweaty. Win win
  4. I am not much on sweet stuff so i take plain greek yogurt and add stuff like parmesan cheese and salt and pepper, dried ranch dressing, salsa verde, mix it in with chilli sauce and it makes a yummy protein supplement and tastes naughty like real sour cream.
  5. I go for my post op appt. The 12th and that is on my list of questions. Probably doesn't weigh that much but I want to know how big was the section removed. I will let u know when i get the answer.
  6. That should be 10 lbs
  7. I have been camping for the last six days with no scale but i dropped 20 lbs before i left. Going home tomorrow and can't wait to see what the scale says : )
  8. I was sleeved on the 23rd. This morning I had a tiny omelet and a few bites of banana yogurt and lunch was about a half dollar sized hamburger with pickle, a little lettuce and onion. Yummy and I am full and feel great. I know I am pushing it a little but my doc said the only way to know if I tolerate it is try it. So far I have never been nauseous or vomited. I started with greek yogurt with grated parmesan cheese and some dry ranch dressing. Sometimes i add some salsa verde and refried black beans (so good). I also found a canned chilli with only 7 grams of fat and 17 grams of protein. I can't eat enough to get all the protein but it is good with a teaspoon of plain greek yogurt which adds some protein as well. Don't know if this fits your tastes or how much you can tolerate but I hope it helps. Also check out eggface.com for good recipes and ideas.
  9. I think it us fine to have a few bites of whatever you like. Some it is sweets and others hamburgers or whatever but keep experimenting to recreate that something into a healthy version. I like mostly healthy stuff but my weakness was portions. That can make anything unhealthy. I just had a hamburger about the size of a half dollar. I am full and happy. I do not feel deprived at all, now I wish I was able to have some radishes but too soon to try those yet. I have also found that greek yogurt is good in so many things and it tastes indulgent. Mix a little grated cheese ( I use parmesan) and some dried ranch dressing with some chicken if you are at that stage ( I have used baby food meats) and some pepper. I enjoy it. This is really good in the mushy food stage.
  10. By day 6 or 7 i started greek yogurt with some sugar free jelly or just salted or ranch seasoning sprinkled on it. Yummy

  12. The ability to apologize is a huge character strength. Not many people have that trait.
  13. Also over fresh spinach or cooked cabbage is good. I am 12 days out and nothing has disagreed withe yet. Been mushing everything and have had some chicken, ground beef, and pork in small amounts and chewed to a mush. I love my sleeve. I do not feel like i am misding anything except a margarita...lol
  14. I think you and your puppy are beautiful and I wish you the best. Take care of you.
