  11. Great Job!!!! Love your positive outlook.....an inspiration for us all
  12. Hi Baseballmom...Thank you for your kind words and concern. I went to the dietician today and we did a test whereas i step on a scale and it tells all sorts of info about my body (fat percentage; how many calories i should be eating; bmi; etc). Well, she discovered that I am doing everything right...the problem is my metabolic makeup. From what she explained to me, out of every 100 patients, there is always that "1" who has that weird metabolism...well, unfortunately, I am that "1" person. Ugh...frustrating and not much anyone can do for me. She thinks even a revision may be a waste of time! Oh well...at least I kno it wasnt me doin something wrong!
  13. Congrats on your weight loss and maintenance! Sooo close to ur goal!! I too have accepted the fact that I am not going to lose any more weight...im 14 months out, have only lost 47 lbs total and have been "maintaining" my same weight for 4 months. I kno the weight loss is sometimes slow but this is ridiculous! Well, my surgeon started me on 6 mo dietian visits and after that, she will reassess my situation and together we will decide if a revision is necessary. I personally don't want to do the roux-en-y surgery for my own reasons, but I really need to get more weight off. VSG just didnt work for me Good luck to you on your continued journey!

  15. Even if you're not losing pounds....you are more than likely losing inches. Don't be a slave to the scale!

  17. I eat the same way!!! Eat what i want / when i want....in moderation, of course. I find that if I dont eat what my mind is craving...I will eat everything else in sight! If I were to list my "worst foods" on here, I would take up a couple of pages! Good eatin' / a lil cheatin' everyone! LoL

  19. Call your doctor's office! There were some things the nurse told me not to take/do but when I called my doctor, i was told those things were ok. Go figure!
  20. Im 10.5 months out and still gurgling! I refer to them as my "dinosaur noises"....lol
  21. Congrats & best wishes on your continued journey! Love your super positive attitude!
  22. This is exactly how i handled my situation. Only very few know; not that im ashamed but really, ive seen coworkers reactions and whispers about other folks who went the surgery route and I didnt want to be their next topic....they are what i call "haters"!

  26. My 1 yr is just around the corner...I so want the scale to move down...i want to be like the folks who lose 100+ pounds! I tell hubby the same thing...he's very encouraging and tries to motivate me but secretly, I believe my weight loss is over. Lisa, you have quite some time before your year is here...you are not done losing!! Stay positive & motivated
  27. Oh yes I do understand....went thru the same feeling of comparing myself to others. I actually still do. I just vent it to my hubby who reminds me that everyone is different. Altho sometimes when I tell him about how much weight people, who were sleeved months after me, have lost...even he says 'wow"! Im sure some/all of us on here have had pity-parties every now & then...lol! Best wishes on your continued journey:) You are doing great thus far!
  28. Lisa, im 10-1/2 months out and my total weight loss is 60 +/- 5 lbs. I would say you are doing great at losing 72 lbs in 4.5 months! I've had several stalls too. Sounds like you've become a slave to the scales....stop! Altho we are not losing weight, we may still be losing inches (this is what is happening to me at this point). I weigh 1x week but considering doing every 2 wks instead...just to stop the feelings of frustration! Hang in there....you're def not done losing yet!
