1. I initially got this surgery to spite my Ex-boyfriend. I've since gotten in the right frame of mind about it, but man will it feel good to meet him at a party looking gorgeous.

2. I weigh at least 3 times a day. I'm pretty obsessed.

3. I want Pasta so bad I can't stand it...but of course I throw it up the instant I try it.

4. I am secretly thrilled that my best friend is putting on a tiny bit of married life weight. She understands me better, and now we are losing weight together. I know that makes me selfish.

5. I'm terrified that I will be homely looking when I've lost my weight. It's pure vanity...but I have nightmares.

whew...that felt good.

I confess i sometimes feel like a failure im 8 months out and down only 51 pounds since surgery and its been really slow the last few months. Im scared i wont get to goal. And i feel judged by my family for not loosing faster

I'm sorry your family is making you feel you're doing badly. If they don't go through it themselves, they have no clue. And everyone is different! Hang in there and keep working the sleeve as your doc told you, you'll get there!

i confess i have been in a stall for a week or so, I quit weighing , climbed on scale and was same!!

BUT i have been riding bike every other day 10 -15 miles and not exactly eating right!!!

so getting back on track and and trusting that my sleeve will continue to work as should and have will power to stay on track!

BUT DAMN, Dark chocolate taste soooo freaking awesome!!!!!

I never had a sweet tooth until after sleeve!!! anybody else??

I gotta go for bike ride- get my mind off chocolate!!!

more confessions...

I love not wondering as I pull clothes out of the dryer if it is a shirt or underwear :)

It is too damn cold to walk this week.

I have no rhythm..tried a zumba tape this week.

I have slowly been adding carbs. Today I am back on track!

I hate that I have been stalled for a month.

- I'm sick all the time. As in completely and overwhelmingly nauseated. Zofran is worthless and of no help.

- My exercise routine? Zumba and walking on the days that I can get off the sofa or off my knees from in front of the toilet. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I value the truth.

- My caloric intake is nowhere near what it's supposed to be. Nor am I getting my Protein or my fluids in. I was doing better with everything at 3 weeks post-op than I am at 3 mos post-op.

- The few times I've been out I've actually been hit on. It blew my mind but it felt awesome. And I'm still FAT!! What will it be like later?

- Even with all the ishy stuff, I'd not change a thing. Being fat was going to kill me. Losing weight was important. I'd rather be miserable and live than be happy but dead. Twisted, I know.

I confess:

I love my skinniness

I love eating small amounts

this is a struggle to learn to fight my unhealthy past eating habits

I'm afraid I will go back to eating too much and gain weight :(

I try to make my husband eat like me.....

I confess that I never get all my daily Protein in.

I confess that I should be at my goal weight now. :-(

I confess that I never exercise.

I confess that I eat way way too much candy.< /p>

I confess that I love ordering a kids size meal and being too full to finish it. :-)

I confess that I love being able to shop in the normal size stores.

I confess that I made up a story about my weightloss so my co-workers wouldn't talk crap.

I confess I spend way to much money on new clothes and way too much time getting ready in the morning now..

I confess I used to be so jealous of watching people eat a huge amount of food, but now I LOVE being able to be full and satisfied on 1/8th of what everyone else eats.

I confess that I am so happy that my mom decided to have the sleeve done too. So we go thru this together.

I confess that I know what I need to do to get to goal but for some reason I just can't make myself do it. Ugh.

I confess I could confess a lot more, but I'll stop now because it was kinda depressing!

Still love my sleeve and wouldn't change a thing!! :-)

I confess that I can't give up carbs (but I'm still losing >3 lbs per week).

I confess that though I try to drink 100 oz Water a day, some days I'm lucky to get in 60.

I confess that I don't push myself at the gym as much as I should.

I confess that I started smoking again when my husband decided to separate because I had this surgery.

I confess that I am addicted to weighing myself everyday.

I confess that I rarely get the 60-80 g Protein per day that they want me to.

I confess that I'm having fun trying carb alternatives (like cauliflower pizza crust) and am pleasantly surprised by how good they taste.

I confess that I, too, made up a story to tell the world because I didn't want everyone judging me like my husband does.

I confess that I look in the mirror and think, wow, you're kinda pretty.

I confess that I dream about having sweet, steamy, romantic, dirty sex!

I confess that I cannot wait to shop in the junior section.

I confess that I'm so grateful for this surgery, it really is changing my life for the better!

Hello, I've not had my surgery yet, but I just wanna say that I admire each one of you for being so courageous with your journey & also openly honest with this post. You are all heros. I know that sounds corny, but it's true. God bless all of you & keep up the GREAT work!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
