The Top 5 Things You Will Not Miss After Vsg

Here's a tag! Name the top 5 things you will not miss or will be glad to say "goodbye" to forever post op! Here's mine to start

1. The stares from people. Followed by the whispers. I can still hear you when I have literally just walked past u and u say to your friend "look how big/fat she is"

2. The sweating. I'm 25 years old...I am not anywhere near menopause but omg being overweight gives me a glimpse of what night sweats and hot flashes are gonna feel like.

3. The smell...I don't know how else to put it. But ever since I started gaining weight there's that smell that comes with being overweight...tmi perhaps but it's a foul odor from my folds..and especially under my breasts (im top heavy)

4. The disappointment at clothing stores. You know when you see something and you think of course that's gonna fit! But I'm gonna try it on anyways...and it's way too tight? Not gonna miss that! Or worse when ur too tired or annoyed to try it on at the store and u go home to try it and realize its too tight..go to return it and when the cashier says "was there something wrong with it?" and u say yeah it was too big/lose when the truth is it was the opposite but u were too ashamed to say.

5. Being out of breath after the smallest things - walking 10 stairs to the 2nd level of my house..are u kidding me? Then having to sit for 5 mins So I can catch my breath! Forget sports or running or just being able to run around with little kids..I can't even walk without feeling winded!!

My (thin, exercise-obsessed) sister once have me a diabetic cookbook for Xmas and I'm not a diabetic!!! Hateful.

Oh I get exercise books too! That bloody biggest loser show and that Gillian with her obscene workouts!!! I can barely do 30 knee pushups not even one proper one! How am I gunna do all that?!

Oh man. I don't think anyone I know would be brave enough to get me any kind of fitness/diet gift. I'd pounce. That is so rude!!!

Oh I have asked for the receipt before!!! And sometimes if they have left the price tag on I'll take them back to the store for an exchange (sometimes those books are pricey = Yey for lotssssss of good books and even DVDs instead) ;)

Cookee, I HATE The Biggest Loser! It's not motivational to me. Maybe it is for some people, but not me. I just see a bunch of obese people put on display so people can laugh at them.

Maybe I'll feel differently when I'm thinner, I don't know.

Someone did that to you?!

Yeppers, my grandmother. Except the year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. That year she sent chocolate. lol

Yeppers' date=' my grandmother. Except the year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. That year she sent chocolate. lol[/quote']

I forgot about grandmothers....they do tend towards that type of thing. I tell myself it comes from a place of love... And try to just let it go :/

Geez. You'd had to go to extremes for a bit

of chocolate :P

Another one, I will not miss my feet KILLING me after any kind of prolonged walking. I want to take kiddos to the zoo without feeling like my feet are going to explode or break!

I also look forward to ditching all of my wide width, "comfortable" shoes for cuter ones!

  • 3 months later...

What I always thought was funny is that people were eating during the biggest loser. I think it's a circus. I mean they exploit everyone now!!

I'm almost three months out, here's 5 things I don't miss:

* Sweating all the time. Hot flashes have also dropped dramatically.

* Bras not fitting. My cups no longer overfloweth.

* Gorging myself at parties, but if there is shrimp I am on it.

* Knocking things over with my huge saddlebags.

* Not being able to find anything that fits at the thrift store. I emptied my closet and am having a blast refilling it on the cheap.

1)I won't miss feeling unattractive no sexual energy. I wonder why and how I am still married

2)I won't miss ppl making comments like remember how thin she was when she was younger. Or how pretty she would be if she lost a few pounds.

3)sweating I will never forget this sitting down in a nice summer turquoise dress and when I got up it was soaked.

4)I won't miss wearing spanks or girdles all year round.

5)I won't miss changing over and over again because nothing looks right or good.

I will not miss not being able to put the tray down on a airplane

I will not miss saying a table instead of a booth

I will not miss asking someone to help me put on my socks and blaming it on my hip replacement

Or my back pain

I will not miss not being able to get on my knees to get something on the ground because I will have a hard time getting up

I will not miss 3xxx shirts

I will not miss

1: sweating profusely even when the weather is freezing and having people ask if I'm sick

2: looking for any excuse to wear pants with an elastic waist band

3: feeling my chin on my chest when I'm curled up in bed

4: friends trying to set me up with overweight males because apparently that's all I can attract

5: the feeling of being embarrassed to eat anything other then a salad in public because I think people are judging me

That's just the tip of the iceberg there are many other things I WON'T miss :)

I will not miss the following...

1. Using my four year old daughter to cover me in photos.

2. Sweating after taking a shower.

3. Chafing in my thighs?

4. My inner tube midsection that I have to prop my iPad on

5. Not being able to ever wear a button down shirt.
