October Sleevers-Weight Loss Stall/Slower Loss Now
Hey all. I had decided to take a break from this thread a few months ago. I was starting to get obsessed with other people's losses, not remembering that this is a journey not a race. But I must agree with all of u. I was sleeved oct 2 and total loss (including pre op) is 50 lbs. I'm not fretting it tho (well I am a little). My wedding is aug 30 2014 and in order to be at my goal is 150lbs I need to lose 5lbs a month...slow and steady. I'm at 233 right now

Super Saturday Weigh In
235.8 yesterday! That almost a 3 lbs loss this week. Weighed myself this morning and I was 237 but I'm not discouraged. Also had a visit from Aunt Flo this morning (sorry for those who think its TMI) so that may be contributing to the extra 2lbs today.

A few questions for my fellow Canadians (moreso British Columbians)
- October sleevers
Don't worry tabby! I was sleeved oct 2 as well. Dos I was 260 and today 234 so I feel ya! I am counting it as 31 lbs since surgery because the day I came home I was 265 from all the fluids. It will happen! Besides the slower we go the less chances of loose skin. Are u gettin in all ur Water and Vitamins an Protein?- A few questions for my fellow Canadians (moreso British Columbians)
And none of my tests were painful or uncomfortable- A few questions for my fellow Canadians (moreso British Columbians)
Hey girl! I had my surgery in Victoria BC but that's where I'm from so a lot of ur questions I can't answer. No I didn't have a psych eval. I saw a dietician, had an upper GI endoscopy, had a pulmonary function test, saw my endocrinologist(hormone specialist cause I have PCOS), was given 6 months by my doctor to lose weight on my own...- Post Op Octosleevers 2012. Welcome To The Losers Bench!
Starting weight - 280 (probably more but 280 was my highest weight I saw on a scale) Date of surgery 10/02/2012 - 260 lbs Day after surgery 10/03/2012 265 lbs because of the fluid retention Today 01/03/2013 3 months post op - 237 lbs. My weight loss has been a lot slower than most but I haven't been strict about water vitamins etc. Since the start of January I have been dry focused and committed about my water protein intake and my vitamins and I see a difference. Ill be back in the gym tomorrow for the first time after surgery (yes I know..it's been 3 months but a lot has happened in those 3 months). I have to keep reminding myself that it's a journey, not a race- Super Saturday Weigh In
238.2! Yes I'm in the "230"'s my weight loss has Been slow but I will be the first to admit that so have I. I am terrible with my water and vitamins. Today was the first day in weeks that I had gotten in all my protein all my water and all my vitamins. Judge me if u want new sleevers but u will understand when u get back to ur normal routine that its tough to keep up. I was off of work for 6 weeks after surgery and it was so easy to keep track of everything then. Now that I'm back to work full time and then some I have to set up alarms on my phone to remind me to take vitamins and water etc. I will get there! I'm hoping by the end of march to be in wonderland. And then at goal of 150 in October which would mark my surgiversary!- Bad Girl!
I feel ya sista! As a nurse I have been surrounded by cakes and donuts and goodies that my patients and their families give to the units. I have been stuffing my face and paying the price. I have totally let my demons in my brain take over. I will not deprive myself these holiday nor will I over indulge. Tomorrow is a new day and jan 1 is a new year. Hang in there!- Anyone else get cold really easy since the surgery?
Yup I'm cold alllllll the time! I am only 40lbs down though so I haven't lost much insulation but I'm always freezing- Clumsy
I spoke with both my doctor and my massage therapist about this. Our centre of gravity is changing. My question to my doc was well why didn't I feel like this when I gained the weight? Her answer? Because the weight gain was gradual. It took me a year to gain 40lbs and 2 months to lose it!- Super Saturday Weigh In
241 this Saturday. Meaning a loss of 1.4 lbs this week, this 1.4 seems to be a trend with me lol!- Super Saturday Weigh In
242.4 this morning. Loss of 1.4 lbs. pretty close to a 2 lb loss. Didn't hit the 240s but its my own fault. Slacking on the Water and Vitamins as been really bad with food. Here's to another week! Another fresh week- Wth Is Wrong With Me...? Lolbvs
Totally there with u. I started 280 after liquid diet I was 260. Day I came back from the hospital I was 265. 1 week follow up I was 258. I am 8 weeks post op and been stuck at 243-245 for like 6 weeks! What gives!? I have noticed that my clothes fit looser though. Have u tried increasing ur Water? How's ur Protein? Are u taking ur Vitamins? Are u on myfitnesspal? I tried all of things and it seems to be helping?- Super Saturday Weigh In
