Has anyone lost the weight after VSG without exercise?
At this early stage I don't think the exercise is impacting my weight loss, but we're in this for the long term, right? Exercise improves calorie burn and metabolism (because it takes more calories to feed muscles than fat), so if you are able to it is recommended. Even on weeks when the scale doesn't move much my measurements (waist, hips, arms) still show that my working out is improving my body.

Finally Stopped Lying to the DMV
I realized the other day that this is maybe the first time in my life I weigh LESS than it says on my driver's license. Who's with me?

Finally - protein I can tolerate!
Muscle Milk has made me feel the sickest of anything post-surgery. Except maybe the tandoori chicken.

Best Powder To Mix With Water?
That's a shame, fuzzy navel has become my favorite. Don't judge any of the powders by the RTD's, they are NOTHING alike.

A half cup of regular coffee will make me dizzy and light-headed the rest of the day.- up on a snowshoe hike
That sounds like fun! Maybe I'll go sandshoeing.- Post Op Penis Size
My husband and I have lost over 100 lbs collectively, and I can confirm that, uhm, new depths have been reached *blush*.- Sweet tooth 3 and 1/2 months out
I call the carb cravings "riding the sugar dragon". Once you start your body gets hooked. That being said, an occasional treat isn't a bad thing. Just know what to expect and how to cope with the cravings afterwards.- Really freaking out.
Absolutely normal. You'll be just fine, good luck!- Vitimins and meds bad girl
Not taking your vitamins/meds is just asking for trouble. I had to change up my vitamins to get something I could keep down, but it's worth the effort. If you're having an adverse reaction to the gallbladder meds your dr should be able to prescribe an alternative.- Full? Or keep eating?
I'm still having issues gauging "full". My kitchen scale has been the best tool other than my little Sleeven Colbert.- Isopure?
I have to dilute the Isopure rtd's with water, they're just too much. The apple is my favorite.- The Top 5 Things You Will Not Miss After Vsg
I'm almost three months out, here's 5 things I don't miss: * Sweating all the time. Hot flashes have also dropped dramatically. * Bras not fitting. My cups no longer overfloweth. * Gorging myself at parties, but if there is shrimp I am on it. * Knocking things over with my huge saddlebags. * Not being able to find anything that fits at the thrift store. I emptied my closet and am having a blast refilling it on the cheap.- MyFitnessPal.com Members
I was sleeved in early October. I am CherryBombKnits everywhere lol.- 5 Confessions (Join In)
I think this is my third time through: 1) At almost three months I feel like VSG is cheating. Losing over 60 lbs has been way easier than losing 10 lbs pre-surgery. 2) My nut says I need 83 grams of protien a day. I barely make 60 daily. 3) I still haven't found a protien drink (mix or RTD) that I like. 4) I can't believe how cruel people in my life have been to me the last few decades. Since I can't eat the feelings away I have to deal with them now. 5) I worry about not being able to stop losing weight once I get to goal.- Challenge: New Year's Day 2013
Hit 187.4 today. I think I'll call Mission Accomplished on this one.- October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves
I'm nearly two months out, sleeved Oct 4th. Lost 52 lbs all together, 27 since surgery. Currently 198 lbs.- 5 Confessions (Join In)
* At two months out I feel way more normal than I thought I would. * If I skip a workout I don't feel guilty, but I do feel "blech". * I resent not being able to tolerate tomatoes and coffee. * I thought I'd feel different at One-derland, but I totally don't. * I have mixed feelings about all the compliments my family is laying on me.- Challenge: New Year's Day 2013
I already met my goal!!! Now aiming for 190 lbs for New Years.- Intimacy
My husbean and I have collectively discarded over 80 pounds. While neither of us is near goal, logistically it makes a HUGE difference.- October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves
I make sure to start the day with 16 ounces of hot herbal tea. Two cups before breakfast. - Dizzy
