1. Last night Hubbster and I went to El Torito. We ordered one fajita entree and I had a little bit of the chicken. We were both stuffed and still had leftovers.
2. I sure hope not. I am aiming for 110 lbs (250 to 140) and was told that my goal was "very reasonable". I think my chart weight is supposed to be in the 120's, but I looked awesome when I was at 140 and my BMI will be "normal". I get a little giddy just typing that :-)
3. The sad thing is I haven't even used mine yet, maybe tonight. I am trying to get addicted to running, started c25k again today. I stopped a year ago when I broke my ankle jogging and want to pick it back up. I would love to run the 5k at Disneyland next summer.
4. My MFP is set at an 800 kcal/day goal. Darned if I get to 500 though.
5. Would kettlebells be as effective as the other weights? I like the idea of a handle on my big heavy things.
6. So far the only thing I can't handle is tomatoes.
7. *When I'm sick I still want a piece of sourdough toast with butter. *I am eating things now (meat, dairy) that I would never had eaten on a "diet". Feels so decadent. *Hubby works out 60 mins a day plus walks with me. I don't want to work out that much. *I want to punch the skinny teenagers that titter at my aquarobics class right in the mouths. *Deep down I still don't think the sleeve will "work".
8. A little thread-jack: A friend of mine was out of work due to chicken pox. Her supervisor called to discuss the status of her STD. Friend got all upset and started explaining that chicken pox wasn't a sexually-transmitted disease. Another reason to love short-term disability.
9. I asked to have mine taken out. The internist reminded me that removing a healthy organ is malpractice.
10. My husband has lost 37 lbs using just the Wii Fit (not sleeved). It is very private and the fun exercises are motivating. If it works for you work it :-)
11. Hope surgery went well Aimstergirl! OP this is exactly why I kept the nature of my surgery to myself. I only see my coworkers a few times a year so I don't think my wl will be that big of a deal. I DO have a family reunion in about a month and know I will get the snarky "easy way" comments from my evil stepmother. I can't wait to stare at her rump and ask how the "hard" way is working for her.
12. My surgeon actually cut through my tattoo. It looks like once it heals you won't be able to see the scar.
13. I completely understand. It is so weird to have to put half a yogurt cup back in the fridge.
14. Thanks Pip! I've been waiting three days for a response from my surgeon's office. Will try the Flinstones. 10 million strong and shrinking!
15. I am 20 days out today and feeling mostly normal. Struggling to get in more than 500 calories a day. My dr's office's plan is centered around the shakes. Of course I cannot stand them, but still get plenty of protien in. Haven't lost a ton of weight post-op but my pants are looser and my dresses are longer (less badonk to go over). I found out that tomatoes make me feel ill, otherwise the mushies phase is going well. Anyone going through the early hard bits, it gets better really fast. Hang in there Octosleevers!
16. The Bariatric Advantage chewables. I'm three weeks out and that's the closest I've gotten to vomiting.
17. The last few days I have been dreading my multivitamin for some reason, they just kept feeling ickier and ickier. Today I chewed them up, swallowed, and immediately felt like I was going to vomit. I was in the middle of a conference call or I would have. Has anyone else lost their tolerance for the chewable vitamins? What happens now?
18. I know :-( I only lost two pounds this week and have been really tired. I just can't get any more in.
19. I'm not saying health shouldn't be out main focus, but who wouldn't want to feel prettier/more handsome? There nothing wrong with a double-win.
