Lisa-I am so happy everything went well-I am so happy for you!! My surgery is tomorrow & I am running last minute errands so I can stock the fridge/pantry with goodies for when I return. Also have about 6 loads of laundry to do-not sure when I'll feel up to doing it again.

Don't forget popsicles

How long before the pain stops? The meds don't seem to touch the pain. Hiccups very, very bad!

Don't forget popsicles

Got my popsicles! Soups, sugar free caramel, Protein Shots, Protein Jello, more Protein Powder, gatorade, carrot juice, instant Decaf coffee, tea, gas-x, Fiber gummies, and antacid. I know there's more (almost had a heart attack when I saw the total). I think I'm prepared!

Can't wait to swap stories!!

Have to be at the surgical center in twelve hours. In the tub now, better shave my legs and scrub the ol' belly button!

I'm curious-how many of you were told that you could have a 'last supper'? My doc said to go for it. He told me I could eat ANYTHING I wanted, but nothing after midnight. I ate a bunch of cr*p and now I feel so gross! I wish I would have stuck to my liquid diet. :(

My surgery isn't until next Thurday the 26th and I have been making mental notes from all the post I have been reading lately. I went to wal-mart today and bought my first ever scale. I have never own a scale before.....

I still have to get all my juices, popcicles, jello's and broth. I have lots of Protein poweders to start off with. I think I need to get a heating pad too. Is there anything else I should absolutely have?

Been on liquid pre-op for 5 days now......soooooo over the Jello and Soup already! Especially when I made my family tacos tonight. Only 10 more days to go (UGH!)...actually only 9 as I will be NPO on the 27th. But it will be worth it in the end. Will be banded on the 27th and still have so much to do before then including getting more of the vitamins/supplements for afterwards as well as the Isopure Protein powder. Has anyone else gotten the Isopure powder? If so...is the chocolate good?

I have been waiting for so long for this and the time was going by so slowly and now suddenly, things are going by so fast. I had intended on getting sample Proteins from companies and getting Vitamins and supplements from Bariatric Advantage but still haven't. This company came highly recommended to me. Has anyone else had any experience with them?

Good luck everyone in April.......hope you are all doing well.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
