I have a ton of clothes in size 24 (with a few 22's) if anyone needs this size! Most are nicer work clothes (dress pants, blazers) or two-piece pants suits. There are a few casual outfits (capris, short, jeans) and some casual shirts as well. If anyone would like these, PM me. I boxed them all up last night and they are in my attic until I find a good home for them. If nobody takes me up on them in the next month or so, I'll just donate them to Goodwill. There are some nice pieces in here!

I am considering a couple of Dr.'s in Cincinatti, OH; Dr. Trace W. Curry or Dr. Brad Watkins. I am looking for individuals who have been banded by these Dr.'s and would like for you to share your experiences, both good and bad as well as suggested questions I should ask during the upcoming seminar I am attending. I'm looking for the best support pre and post op. Please give any and all experiences as well as opinions that will help me make my decision. Thanks.

Hi everyone, I am going for my consult tomorrow with Dr. Bagnato and if everything goes okay, I'll be having my surgery on 2/27! I'm a little scared but very excited. I've had to do this self pay and I'll admit, the idea of this much debt really bothers me, but I figured I'm 37 years old and every year I think THIS is the year I'll finally get my weight in gear and so far, it never seems to happen. I manage to loose only to gain it back and I'm so sick of the cycle. Anyway, just thought I'd say "hello!"

Okay ya'll. We need to meet. Seriously. I know that Leslie at OTC is working on getting a support group going, but all of us Bandits really need to get together. I know a lot of people aren't in Albany, but we could shoot for dinner somewhere at say 7:00? A Tuesday would be good. I know summer weekends are usually pretty full. What do you think? I say we have a vote and narrow down a date. Put your name down and a good day for you and hopefully we can agree on something: Leslie - Tuesday, June 24

This is a bit of a rant and this seems like the thread to put it in. I had lap-band surgery on the 21st of July. This has been a good thing in my life. I feel empowered, confident and finally on the way to making life long positive choices. This was the switch I wanted. You know that switch? You are in the zone with the new diet and you can push bad choices aside without sounding like food is out to get you. You easily move through a supermarket and don't even consider the salty sweet high carb things. Going out is a breeze. You lose weight. You feel good about -this- diet. And then someone throws the switch back. You start making excuses for your choices. All food…

Hello everyone! I just got home from my appointment at the OTC. First off, I'd like to say that I just met the new lady, Leslie, and she is wonderful! I was pretty nervous about someone new starting but I love her, she's great! I gained one pound since last time I went. I was telling Leslie that I was able to eat things like pizza with no problem and she didn't think that was normal so she decided to check my Fluid level. It was checked in April (end of the month) and I had lost about .50cc, which they didn't think was uncommon. Well, she checked it today and I've lost .75cc in a two month span, which isn't normal. She told me not to freak out yet though. She r…

Hi Everyone! This is my very first post! I am receiving a band in 2/2 weeks by Dr. Forbes. I have started this process last september and it is finally nearing surgery date! I am wondering what other experiences people have had with this doctor and Buffalo General. I have gotten such a run around from Malissa and the people there, it's actually ridiculous! I have complied WITH all requirements, but getting people to communicate with me AND EVEN CALL ME BACK is actually a little scary. It makes me wonder if I will be left out to dry post -op. Let me know PLEASE!

I know... I'm not a "Bandster", ((I had the gastric Sleeve)) I had the sleeve by absolute Choice... I didnt want any of the Drama that goes with the band.. Fills, Erosion, Slippage, Constant vomiting, Etc. I just wanted my procedure To be SAFE, Less invasive, A healthy lifestyle choice, and Yes, Reasonable.... I did MONTHS of research.. and because i was a Self Pay... I am just starting the process, and I have looked into a few Dr.'s I was wondering who you guys felt really comfortable with. I went to the group information meeting with Dr. Simpson. I found his office to be kinda old looking, and he seemed kinda "smart alecy" when I asked him a few things. I have heard he has put the most bands in in AZ, but I am just not sure how I feel about him. Please let me know how you feel about your Dr's and pros cons.. I am on the West side so it might be hard for me to travel very far for support groups in such but if it's the right DR. I might be willing to. Thanks :confused2: I am in Avondale

I am trying so hard to figure out which direction to go. This whole surgery seemed out of reach until I came in contact with the Belite group. My patient facilitator is awesome, but I want to make sure I am making the right decision. My facilitator is setting me up with Dr. Rodriguez, she says he is great, but I would like to hear everyone elses opinion godd or bad. Thanks for your help.

I had my lapband surgery in August 2006. I had a complication in January of 2007 after having been filled too tightly in October (1.8 cc). I was on a business trip to Denver and a wonderful doctor there, Dr. Brown at Presbytarian-St. Luke's did the unfill and helped me to be able to eat and drink again. Well, now I am interested in getting my follow-up care locally and I have found that the doctor that my friend recommended to me charges patients who had their surgery out of the country a fee of $3000. Wow! That seems steep to me, even if it includes one fill (no fluoro) and their support groups, etc. Has anyone else come across this kind of fee? The office staff …
