  2. My bezoar was removed laproscopically. I just hope it never comes back. I had a leak after and was in the hospital a long time.
  3. Dr. Jossart I had a sleeve then developed a bezoar and then a leak after the bezoar removal. Can the bezoar recur? Once the leak heals do I have to worry forever about future leaks? I am not sure I will ever feel safe, but maybe it will get easier, this only happened 5 weeks ago.
  4. I read an article that said there are various enzymes that will help depending on if the bezoar has meat or vegetbles in it.
  5. I just had a bezoar removed that formed after gastric sleeve surgery. I had nausea and vomiting for some time but did not seek medical assistance until after I was completely obstructed and did not keep any thing down, even liquids. After the bezoar was removed one of the stitches let go and I had a leak. It was and is a long recovery, but I think it will be a full recovery. Mentally I am afraid every day. It will take me some time to mentally recover.
  6. Hello Doctor! I had the sleeve about ten days ago. I have pain on swallowing almost everything. I have severe pain after some foods. I am thinking that my gall bladder is causing some problems, hence the few hours of burning pain, but the initial pain on swallowing, even sometime water, what could be causing that?
  7. dont panic, I had my surgery in July of 2008 and it is still not paid for and I have two insurances. And the 27K is only for the surgery, that does not include the surgeon fee.
  8. Of course medicaid pays for it. It is our insurances that dont pay.
  9. Please ask Dr. Hoffman from Buffalo new York to speak. He worked with Dr. Geiss in NYC for many years. He is a great speaker and has a real passion for this. Aaron Hoffman, MD, Buffalo, NY Thanks. Judy Anticola
  10. My friends Maria is his nutritional person, and I think she is great! That is all I know about them. Caruana did my sisters bypass and she is doing well.
  11. I will be there. Possibly Nicki too. Maybe even PJ the dog, not sure yet. Medaille is having a dog wash tomorrow, so I may take the pooch there for a clean up after the walk.
  12. Val, I am planning on being there unless the weather is so fantastic that I have to go camping on Friday. If I go camping i will call your cell on Friday. If you do not hear from me then I will be there Saturday. I think Linda will be there Saturday, I will check. Nicki will not. I think the new girl was planning on coming back too.
  13. Val, it is justs you and I on Saturday 9/20. Do you want to start at 8:30 or 9? If not 8 is fine. If you want to start later call my cell tonight 997-4945. If I do not hear from you I will be there at 8 am. It will be a beautiful morning.
  14. I will be there Saturday 9/20. Linda is not coming, I will check with Nicki. I will do light the night walk. we can talk on Saturday.
  15. OK, call me in the morning if the weather is questionable. I will call Nicki and Linda. Of course if it is pouring we would all know!
  16. Lets talk about the races on Saturday. Light the night sounds fun. Is the "making strides " walk that same weekend? I have to close down my campsite that weekend too. We can talk on Sat and figure out what we need to do. See you all then.
