  1. Hey bru hey rain how are you? Hope all is well. Judy
  2. I have been walking around pretty discouraged so it was so odd that these popped up in my mail today. Nothing comes without a price so I guess just keep that in mind. I really don't think this is a good time for me to really give advice on this. It seems like it was easier for those that didn't have the band first. Anyway, it sounds like X ray girl has had a great experience so look to her for answers. Wish you the best.
  3. Sally, so they are doing it in two procedures? When I had mine done he did the removal and the sleeve at the same time, wonder why they changed it? Good luck to you. Funny thing about your story, I was camping with a lady who had weight loss surgery and then had a seizure right in front of me, and it was potassium. Was that you? I cant remember the ladys name but she was a friend of my sister, Betsy and another friend, Holly.
  4. Rain, I had the sleeve and i am still struggling. Gained a few pounds last weigh in so now I am freeked out about everything I eat. All I do is focus on food, what I eat, what I dont eat, UGH. Will it never end? But glad to have lost what I did.
  5. My bezoar was removed laproscopically. I just hope it never comes back. I had a leak after and was in the hospital a long time.
  6. Dr. Jossart I had a sleeve then developed a bezoar and then a leak after the bezoar removal. Can the bezoar recur? Once the leak heals do I have to worry forever about future leaks? I am not sure I will ever feel safe, but maybe it will get easier, this only happened 5 weeks ago.
  7. I read an article that said there are various enzymes that will help depending on if the bezoar has meat or vegetbles in it.
  8. I just had a bezoar removed that formed after gastric sleeve surgery. I had nausea and vomiting for some time but did not seek medical assistance until after I was completely obstructed and did not keep any thing down, even liquids. After the bezoar was removed one of the stitches let go and I had a leak. It was and is a long recovery, but I think it will be a full recovery. Mentally I am afraid every day. It will take me some time to mentally recover.
  9. Hello Doctor! I had the sleeve about ten days ago. I have pain on swallowing almost everything. I have severe pain after some foods. I am thinking that my gall bladder is causing some problems, hence the few hours of burning pain, but the initial pain on swallowing, even sometime water, what could be causing that?
  10. We could meet at Altons Weds on Transit Road again, maybe after work. Val and Nicki might be able to come.
  11. You had a baby Rain?? Yeah, that would be worth a few pounds to be sure.
  12. My drain is no longer filling up, but the fluid is draining out of the whole where the drain goes in. Is this ok? I guess as long as it is draining, but it is kind of messy this way.
  13. Hey Rain, your pic looks great. I had the sleeve 11/8. Feeling good, in somnia tonight though.
  14. I just did the sleeve. Had the band two years ago but was choking a lot. Had the sleeve Monday, and am full of energy today!!
  15. Hi Rain, I hear you look great!!! Congratulations. I havent been on much because every time I say something someone else rips my response apart. I figured why waste my time. I am dropping slowly, never had a gain yet but only down about 35 pounds. Take care, hope to see you soon.
  16. It has been almost a year since my band and I hiccup everytime I eat too fast.

New CPT codes for Lap Band

dont panic, I had my surgery in July of 2008 and it is still not paid for and I have two insurances. And the 27K is only for the surgery, that does not include the surgeon fee.

Of course medicaid pays for it. It is our insurances that dont pay.
  19. Oh, sorry Bugs, I thought you said you already had a script for the cortisol test. My mistake. You cant have it done without the script from the clinic anyway, but you do have to have it before surgery.
  20. Bugs, you need to have it before your surgery so they can rule out any cortisol production problems.
  21. Everyone has to have it before the surgery. You may have to have a second test if the result is abnormal, so dont be surprised.
  22. I brought the cpap to the hospital but they did not ask about it and I did not take it out of the bag.
