Hey, Susie! My name is Carol Milstead and we use to live in Candler from 1971-78 and I taught school at Candler Elementary. It's nice to hear from someone in this area. We recently moved to Liberty, SC from Brevard and I had my lapband surgery at Oconee Hospital in Seneca with Drs. Hughes and Paluzzi. It has been a wonderful experience! My surgery was Feb. 18th and to date I've lost 46 pounds. I'm 62 years old and would never have been able to lose anywhere near that amount on my own. I need to lose about 50 more but if I didn't lose another pound, I would still say it has been worth it!

(By the way, my husband pastored Mt. Moriah Wesleyan on Fairmont Rd. in Candler....know where that is?) I hope you have a good Asheville doctor and keep on investigating!
