gahhhh day after tomorrow I will be in surgery at 8:30 a.m.! I am so excited and soo nervous. Kate I didn't get an unfill, I am actually really tight and asked my lapband doc and he said I didn't need to get an unfill. The percocets that I have are small. I have so much to do today.. I am trying to keep busy so I am going to get my nails (mani and pedi) done (no nail polish per doc) but cleaned up. I have to go find some large sweatpants with pockets to hold the drains.. going to finish all the laundry and make a couple dinners to have in the freezer for my family.

I did have some sad news yesterday, my grandpa passed away. He has had alzheimers for years and really didn't remember anyone. It is so sad how that disease steals so much.

Please keep me in your prayers on Thursday!

Allie...so sorry you lost your GF..

It's been fun watching you transform. Looking forward to you posting photos of your final results. Stay strong, but have a pity party those first few days. Any of my friends that have had TT, breat lift, etc. have said anything they went through with the pain (some say they really didn't have a lot of pain...just that the drain bags were hard to deal with) was worth it. It should be considered the final step in your transformation. Good for you for taking that step. You will definately be in my prayers. God Bless

TOMORROW! Wow I can't believe that tomorrow I will be on my way to finishing what I started on June 20, 2008. I am so excited and nervous all rolled into one. I think I am ready lol. I have purchased every thing I might possibly need. I am going out today to do some christmas shopping. I was just thinking gosh what if it takes me forever to feel better and I can't get out there to shop. I want to make sure that I get something special for my hubby and my girls. I also think the more prepared I am the less likely anything will go wrong. I will try and get on here as soon as I can after surgery. I am hoping I have a speedy recovery. Please keep me in your prayers

Allie:

I'm jealous because you're going to have the abdomen and the boobs of a 20 year-old! You'll do great. Your positive thoughts will help through this. I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you tomorrow.

Good surgery and good recovery to you!

Take care.

Sue

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
