Recommended Posts

No Jenn, my doc doesn't ever check the Fluid, but if I get the N.P. she does and it is always right on. but i have heard of fluid in the tubing, so maybe thats what it is..let me know how you make out today..How many cc's do you have in your band?

I got my dr today and he backed it out. was at 1.2 and should have been at 1.5. he filled me all the way to 4 and then backed that out too, so I'm at 1.5 again

just had broth for dinner, going to do it for 10 days again. 20lbs ... i can do it

Vicki

I think holidays and craziness...I've even been MIA for me. I'm involved with a project called Patriot Hills and I'm getting ready to start the next fundraiser, my first one from start to finish, so Just trying to get things together so I am together when I don't have a ton of time.

I have a 4cc band. one of the original small ones. 1.5 is actually tight for me and I feel like I did post surgery without all the gas pains and surgery pain. I almost couldn't get down my pills yest. So last fill to 1.5 I went back to post surgery diet, which should be 2 weeks of Clear Liquids, i'll be happy 7-10 days, then soft food for a week, and then 1.5oz tuna, 1 egg... kind of stuff. I'm going to do super high Protein Shakes again, it worked post surgery, I lost 40lbs really quick, so since I only want to lose 20-25 I should be good, I just need to get back to the gym too

Are you sure Val, the 19th is on a Sat. i'm going on the 15th tues. I'm not sure if I need a fill or not, one minute i can eat anything and then I feel like everything gets stuck..I don't know what to think?..I wonder if they can give .5 cc ? I got so tight once i couldnt get my meds down and i don't want that to happen again.

How are u holding up Val since your unfill? are you able to maintain or lose any weight?

Can someone tell me about the weigh in the day of surgery with Dr. Posner? I have so much anxiety. He said if there is any weight gain, surgery will be cancelled. My date is this wednesday the 16th. Does the nurse weigh you in? The doctor? Is there a weigh in at all???? Soooo nervous !!!

You should be ok since they gave you surg date...as long as you have'nt gained like 10lbs since then... do you know if you've gained any since your final weigh-in?

I was not weighed in the day of surgery, but i had hoffman.. I can't see how they would cancel surg. they have to book the o.r. in advance, and have anesthesia standing by and to just cancel would be crazy, I can see how they would not want you to gain due to the difference in the size of your liver, they want it to shrink so they will not nick it during surgery. you could bleed really bad.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
