Pita - it is worth it, how much more do you need to lose? and do you have to be that weight at day of surgery or day of approval?

Hi all, drive by post, started a new job yesterday and running late!

Have a great day

OMG!!!Rain, I thought I read it wrong, how wonderful for you. It is right? I am still in shock...Why did the doc take u off the BP pills. is it cause your preg. or is your BP under control now...wow, i am still blown away, is doc Hoff aware and will he unfill u now. how does this work??? I knew u weren't around but I thought it was just the holidays>

P.S. the doc's took me off bp meds and lasix and i gain water weight all the time now, hence up and down 3-5 lbs all the time. As long as it is water and not fat i am happy...

I had my regular Dr's appt on Monday and got my flu shot... would'nt you know, I would be the one who would get sick from it :tongue2:. I think the shot gave me the flu <groan> I threw up yesterday and I still have two more parties and a couple of dinners to go to. gonna have to make it through it somehow.

How is everyone else's holidays going?

Hi Vicki,

Yes Im happy I was trying for like 6 months. I had to go off the BP meds b/c its not good for the baby. I was only on 1/2 a pill a day so I should be ok. But the weight gain is Killing me. Everyday getting on the scale is torture but if I dont do it I will lose control. As far as Hoffman goes I have an appt on Dec 30th and will tell him then. Im not to tight and have felt no different so I hope to keep my fill in.

I was wondering how that works cause my neighbor, who is a anesthesiologist, who works with Hoff and Posner had a patient who had it deflated, but I don't know if it was her decision or doc's have you researched it...OMG, I feel like I'm gonna be an aunt!!!:)

That is just so great, just don't do anything to harm you or the baby, remember you need good nutrition!

Vicki - you are funny, I think I said what is MY excuse...lol. I was back up to 190 and now back down to 186... slow and steady, I get a fill next thursday!

Hope you are all doing well, i'm exhausted, going to vaccume and let the kids decorate the trees and i'm going to take a bath!:w00t:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
