Is the chili you used vegetarian/vegan? If so can I have the brand name? Another one of my children just went 100% plant based 🙄

It’s actually the Bariatricpal vegetable chili packets that I’ve had forever and need to start using up. Here’s the ingredient list.

However I have great success using bobs red mill TVP rehydrated with vegetable stock and chili spices then mixed in with sautéed onions, diced and crushed tomatoes and then canned chili Beans. Altogether takes about 10-15 minutes for a homemade vegan chili.

dinner tonight was a chili relleno style casserole- roasted Anaheim peppers and tomatillos, onions, corn, and ground turkey topped with Mexican style cheese and cornbread mix. I’m tracking 300 calories for it and I’m definitely full from eating it.

Also- this was a freezer prep meal for when I didn’t feel like cooking and reheated great even with the cheese in it.

That looks fabulous, and just right for these brutally hot days.

One of those rare hungry mornings.

1/2 a bagel, thrown together chicken salad with leftover chicken breast, and 1/2 a bacon slice.

275 cals for the whole thing, ate half.

will eat the other half if its still there later.

Was missing my dad terribly the past few days so made some Korean food.- cheesy tteokbokki with fish cake strips, kimbap (or gimbap), pickled radish, kimchi, spinach namul, and pickled cucumbers and sweet and spicy gim.

I also threw in a yogurt with a peach and granola along with a Protein Shake for my coffee and an individual bag of pretzels which I’ve counted but may end up not eating because I’m halfway through work and still have half the kimbap, the tteokbokki, pickled radish, spinach namul, and kimchi.

Honey garlic shrimp with sautéed sugar snap peas and cherry tomatoes. This one surprised me how quickly I filled up. I’ll probably finish the sides later with a little more Protein but this whole plate was only 110 calories?!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
