After 2 years! Finally found my word.

  • Popular Post

I cringe everytime I hear someone use the word "journey" when describing any life realted event - not just for WLS. I've never felt comfortable using the word... so I'm not knocking anyone that likes to use the word. But I finally found my word - adventure. What's your favorite word to describe your "adventure" in WLS?

That is such a fabulous word! I might have to steal it from you! I really have not called it anything up to this point.

I'm with innersurfergirl.

This is a WLS journey for me with many adventures along the way

and tangents.

Lots of tangents.

I have many journeys. I like the word. To me it speaks to walking a positive path. When I talk about my sleeve it's a procedure.

As long as folks understand that it's a lifestyle change that will have it's ups and downs, you can call it a journey, an adventure, or a process. I think they're pretty interchangeable.... :)

I don't feel comfortable with "journey" though I've used it for lack of a better word. I've used process. I really like "adventure"!!!!!!!! That is spot on!

I am on my 5th day out - today the word is "ordeal", LOL!

I use journey because I am still on the path. Once I complete my "journey" maybe I can say something different. I am following a path to health and wellness I guess that is why I call it my journey.

I was going to say liberation, too -- now I see transformation and that one is great, too. Relief. Release. Jumping4Joy. Recovered. Adventure, yes -- so happy to be showing up now for life's adventure.
