i was wondering if anyone else has a problem with gas. it is so embarrassing.

by the second part of my day i am so full of gas. all the time having to run to the bathroom to pass it or walking around in a store and going up an aisle that no one is on. lol

i just wondered if it was just me.

Happened to me last night:redface:. The only thing I can contribute it to would be the mixed nuts I ate:confused:. I was at church and had to go out, LOL.:wink2:

Maybe it was something that you ate. I know also when I'm stressed, I can have indigestion from everything, even H2O.

Lo2Us, happy for you.

I use splenda but, I've been using it. Every once in a while I just get full of gas.

Hippmom, Lou Ann said today that Kenny saw you. Do you like the center?

I worked my butt off today and everyday, went to my aunt's house and haven't lost a pound. Guess it's muscle. I know that my clothes are very lose. The scales say that I've lost actually 7 lbs but, I don't want to put that on my ticker until I go to the dr.

No one mentioned there being a meeting on the 13th? Did they have it?

I've got the cure for the GAS problem ladies! PHAZYME, tiny red gel pills.< /p>

Easy to swallow. They are about $10. for a small bottle, but they work!

Get them at Walmart, or just about anywhere.

I need my support ladies....I am back to stress eating.GRAZING!! Seems like if it can go wrong here lately, it is. I've mentioned before that my husband passes out at the drop of a hat, due to a cough he can't get rid of, so he hasn't worked since Feb.We have spent thousands trying to find out what is wrong. We get plenty of bills, but no diagnosis or remedy. I put in 12 hours a day 6 days a week. Doing ALL I can do and it's not enough. We are really struggling financially, it's not looking too good.

In the middle of a wash load yesterday, my washer just QUIT me! Took hours to clean up the flooded floor!

About the time I was ready to go to bed, a bill collector called me. After

she took on an attitude with me, I just hung up. Then I woke up every hour on the hour last night.

I'm aggravated at myself for not losing like I thought I should have. I've been banded a year this week. I'm aggravated about the fill I halfway got in Sept. It's like I never even had a band put in. My stomach hurts a lot. Everytime I call the Dr. office, I just get put off and no one ever returns a call....been trying for two weeks. Seems like the aftercare is slipping and it's not like we are free to just go find another Dr. I really don't mean to be so negative or pull anyone down......but I need someone to pick me up....:)

I'm just venting. Most of the time when I get to feeling this way, I just type up a storm,,,,,then hit delete.

Today, it's going......forgive me.

I'm waiting on Betty to call me back today, but it sounded like they were swamped.

NewJulie, my sister has the same thing (coughing spell) and has spent lots of money (she was a military wife) trying to get diagnosised, even the military drs couldn't find out what caused it. She struggles everyday. I will call her and find out what they gave her to take. I'm sorry for all the misfortunings but you can and will overcome this. Go ahead a vent away. Your doorstep today, maybe mine tomorrow. I will definately get some Phazyme. Boy, I needed it today. I'm sure the people at the wellness center would have appreciated too.

Congratulation Peri!!!!!!

Hippmom, I hope you feel better soon.

I was just so glad to get in. I did not have a leak, had it all still in there. she thinks my stomach relaxed ? Anyway, i got some more in there today. i feel like i already have some restriction back. I dont know what the deal was in september.. happened to me to. all the sudden no restriction. Maybe some was taken out instead of puttting in.. makes you wonder, huh? Well, i have hit my first year and now i have to pay... i cant afford to be going in all the time either. if my insur denies, which it might, i will have racked up 450.00 in less than a month. i hope you get some restriction back. i hope mine is really there. time will tell. i am suppose to go back this time in 4 weeks. keep calling til you get betty !!! I gained 8 pounds trying to keep from being so hungry just in about 4 weeks. Here i go trying again though !!! Dont give up. I cant, this thing wont be paid for for many years...

hi everyone... i am scheduled to have the surgery on oct. 24th, and am now on my liquid/salad diet for preop. I am doing well on the diet, but I have only lost about 4 pounds, and I am on day 6. I am starving all the time and don't know what is going on. I am afraid that my body is not going to be ready for surgery. AHHHHHHHHH! Also, can anyone give me any advice about the upcoming surgery? Anything I need to know about Dr. H? I heard he is very difficult to talk to, so I am asking you that have seen him.

I need some advice.... help!

Thanks Teresa, Hipmom and A Lot Less:smile:

I feel much better today, or at least I'm trying to put mind over matter! I never gave it a thought that we started paying office visits after a year out? My insurance paid and a couple of times at the appt. desk I have been told I owed for a visit that day? I never questioned it, just thought it was my co-pay or something. :frown:The gym here at the depot is free to employees and I am within walking distance, so If I don't work thru lunch and don't forget, I am going to go check it out. 20 years ago I was hooked on aerobics,;) I never thought my life would take this turn...

I'm thinking of becoming a distributor of Juice+Plus Vit. We learned about them at the conference. I and my hubby have been on them ever since, and we both can feel a change for the better. We are both drinking Aloe-Vera juice from the health food store.

It is amazing how much better we are both feeling. The vit. also come in gummies for those that have a hard time swallowing a capsule.:)

Thanks again "FRIENDS"....God Bless Each and Every one of you:girl_hug: :w00t: :tt2:

Welcome "Likebefore",

It is nice to lose 20 lbs on the pre-op, but we all didn't do it. BUT, you are on day 6, so hang in there and don't give in this next week or you'll undo everything you've struggled thru thus far. If you're really "starving" all the time, chew gum, go do something, DON'T watch food commercials,LOL. The diet to me was really a test to see if "I" was ready for the surgery. My way of thinking was that if I couldn't make it thru 2 weeks of controlled eating, how could I make it a "lifetime" change? My advice? Get the whey Protein pwd and mix it in those flavored pwd drinks. after surgery. I found that there were lot's of things I bought out of habit. After surgery, your tastes change and you don't really miss what you thought you would. As far as Dr.H? He's not hard to talk to, he's just right up front and he doesn't mind telling you he finds it " hard to believe you're being truthful about what you say you're eating!" So, keep a journal! RELAX!! The biggest decision you've made was to get banded. You'll do great! You just have to follow the rules. I don't recall how "young" you are, but it seems the younger one's have fewer bad habits to break than those of us whom bad habits have become a way of life. The worst one to break is "mindless" eating! I'll be in Fort Worth the day you get banded, but I'll be thinking of you!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
