jumpstart AGAIN
all of you are absolutely right! I kept telling myself i needed to go back to the pre-op diet to jumpstart, but all previous attempts failed. I've been doing some research and I need to drop the slimfast and eat some real food with protein. I always add ANYWHEY protein powder to just about everything i eat and drink. Since i am so tired all of the time, I'm probably not getting enough. i seldom eat meat, Today I am watching the carbs and cutting out the sweets, . I steamed some brocolli and cauliflower for dinner last night. That's all I ate. Today, I'm starting with coffee to open me up, and later will have oatmeal sprinkled with protein pwd. Tuna is on the menu for lunch. I'm going to start up the water again, cause I never drink enough water. Thanks for helping me yesterday !

I AM IN NEED OF A CLEAN SLATE. WANT TO START OVER WITH THE PRE-OP DIET, IN WHICH I LOST 40 LBS, AND VERY LITTLE SINCE. AND, I AM 4 YEARS OUT! STILL NEED TO LOSE 90LBS. I HAVE GREAT RESTRICTION, BUT AM NOT MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICES. TODAY, I STARTED ON SLIM FAST AGAIN, ASIDE FROM A CUP OF COFFEE THIS MORN. SLIM FAST IS ALL I'VE HAD TODAY, HAD PLANNED ON ONE FOR DINNER, BUT I AM WANTING TO EAT SOMETHING! OH, I FINALLY DID GIVE IN TO FAT FREE YOGURT AROUND 3:30 AND DINNER IS STILL A GOOD 3 HOURS AWAY......HELP!- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
Sugarbear, I am so glad you were able to get downtown. I felt bad about not being able to offer you a ride back home. We came in our car and it was packed. If we had come in the truck I would have had some room for you. We stopped in Royse City and then in New Boston to visit with the grankids. We finally got home at 7:30. After feeding the horses and unloading the car I had to get ready to rise at 4 am for work. I sure dreaded coming in this morning. Minpin sat right in front of me, so I was glad to put a face to her. Very friendly and out going girl!! :thumbup:I did learn a lot and took notes. I'm going to be honest and say that yes, I did receive a lot of info there, but I left feeling disappointed and let down. :sad_smile:For my husband and myself the weekend cost me $443. and there is no way I got my money's worth. There wasn't enough lunch so my husband whom I had to pay extra for, stepped back to let the ladies eat. All the "banquets" I've ever been to, we were served a plate, or given a choice of usually 2 menus then we placed our order and were served. There was no dancing and no speaker or ice breaker at the dinner (buffet). All the speakers Saturday said processed meats and fried foods were "not your friend". Pineapple, being stringy is "not my friend". Again, my husband did not eat. I'm not blaming anyone, I realize this was the first event and I'm glad Cher stepped up to the task of putting it all together. But, because of the money we put out, we were so looking forward to this being an "event" we were probably guilty of expecting too much. I really did get a lot from the speakers and because they were professionals, their wisdom and advice was solid. Good luck at the next event, I'm sure it will run a whole lot smoother:thumbs_up:- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
I'm doing casual with exception to Sat. night. I haven't had a dress on in years....so I'm doing a dress & heels for my hubby:smile:- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
It's casual, but make it your own "special" occasion! Dress up if you like, make yourself "feel good"!!- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
manykids?? The Conference is not my doing. I just found out today when I logged on to www.lapbandtalk.com There are many sites to look at concerning this. Just scroll around thru this site and you'll find ton's of friends and support. cher@bandedtogether.net can probably offer more info than I. Good Luck- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
sugarbear~ forgot to tell you, my last post was like #11, so scroll all the way down to COACHCHER's at #1 post.- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
Sugarbear, scroll all the way down to COACHCHER's info, click on LAPBAND CONFERENCE,which opens to Pink Page with CoachCher's picture, scroll down to "click here to download registration form". I opened it up, filled it out then hit print and it's ready to mail. COACHCHER said my husband could wear his wranglers & boots, he wouldn't have to eat from a saucer! He'd get plenty to eat, everything is casual, some might dress up. I'm paying the $150. fee and the $45. guest fee and the guest(my spouse) can attend everything with me. I had to get a room that weekend anyway for his Dr. appt, we'll get plenty to eat and what I spend on the conference itsef ; l think is just the shot in the arm I need.- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
What day is the "conference only" @ $45.00? My spouse will never need the LB, but he was coming along with me for the 3 days. Does the $150.00 cover both of us or is going to cost me $300.00? I feel that bubble shrinking.....- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
Don't burst my bubble now! The info didn't say anything about a fee.- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
:thumbup:I am sooooo EXCITED!!!:cool2: Just completed my reservations, and I can't wait!! It has taken me almost a whole year to lose just 40 lbs. But I am so thankful for the loss. Without the band I would have kept that 40 and already added another 20 to it! This convention is just the motivation I need. It's going to be so informative!- Hello "New Friends"
Just wanted to say hi to my new friends out there in LB World! I have a sleep study scheduled 9/10/07 then Betty said it looked like she could schedule me 2 weeks from there. I'm really excited the closer it get's but a little hesitant too. I've read about slippages, leaks, gaining wt, etc. It's a little worriesome. Not banded yet, but still headed in that direction!
