Why are men such pigs!!!!

Having a conversation with my bf of almost 7 years about why we weren't engaged!!! I'm 31, he's 33! And He actually said 'but jess over the last year you have been putting on so much weight' as a defence for my ringless finger ????????

Toss that one back in the pond. You don't have to accept being loved less.

That's terrible!! He should appreciate you for who your are and for staying with his hateful self. He doesn't deserve you and you deserve better. I'm thinking if he can act like this now, there is a good chance he not a keeper. Good luck to you in your weight loss journey.

That's not love, that's more like borderline verbal abuse. Run now, get skinny and he will be so regretful. His loss, you're better than that!

What does being heavy have to do with getting engaged?? NOTHING! Is he suggesting just because you are you don't deserve to be engaged? That's crap....wonder what else he thinks you aren't worthy of? I'd be re-examining the last 7 yrs of my life..life is short, don't waste any more time on someone who chooses to focus on the "outside" of a person instead of what really counts

My current... "Thing" of 8 years told me we weren't official because I was fat. His words not mine. Funny thing is, and it took me a few years to really see this, not everyone is a ... Butt face like that. But... I am still with my "thing" it's hard to leave, so I feel your pain.

Do this for yourself and for no one else. When you start to feel better about you you'll really see that he's not all that there is out there for you.

Tell him you're about to lose some serious "weight" -- HIM. Dude needs to re-examine....

I dated a guy for six months that would tell me if something happened between us I would never find anyone else as good as he was, that I would have to settle for some elderly man with no teeth. He wasn't trying to be funny, he was serious. A little stab here, another there. As long as he kept me in an insecure position and he had relationship power, he felt that he could say things that diminished me as a human being. But he wanted to marry me.

I finally had enough. No one should ever feel like they have to settle, that things are comfortable enough not to rock the boat, that they've been together this long so might as well.... All of that is bullshit. You don't get your life again. This is it. Why waste years? You are better off being emotionally healthy as a single person providing self-care and surrounding yourself with people who love and support you unconditionally.

If a man's commitment is conditional on your weight, then ...and I'll probably get a lot of heat for it ...but you might want to look at yourself for why you are willing to stay. It's easy to blame the guy, but half of the relationship is you accepting whatever is going on in it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
