  9. This post asked for peoples opinions... i gave my honest opinion... u dont have to agree with me... u gave urs.. i dont have to agree with u... but calling ppl alarmists & arrogant because u disagree is just petty! I didnt call him or anyone else quacks or say their stupid (because i dont believe that to b tru)... i simply gave MY OPINION that if u chose to have this surgery & get healthier, y do sumthing that could potentially jeopardize that health... end of story... i posed a question... sumthing to ponder... like it or dont... take it or leave it... but when u post asking for ppls opinions u should be prepared for some answer that arent what u want to hear... hope everyone is having a lovely time with their popcorn n ju ju bees @ VST cinemas... have a lovely evening :-D

  11. Sorry ... i didnt mean to "scare u to death" and im sorry u werent informed of the seriousness of staying on plan before surgery... but im a "keep it real" person... n yes as the others mentioned uve said small amts & only a few times & with no leak symptoms, id venture to say ur probably fine, but i just wanted to stress that it is a serious issue because... IT IS! U asked, i gave my honest opinion based on my knowledge... they told us a story in my preop class about a man who ate a whole can of corn 1 wk out of surgery... got a leak n almost died... had to have multiple surgeries to remove corn kernels from all over his abdomen... anytime i thought of straying early on, that story came to mind... yes, chances r, u'll b fine, but even sum ppl that stay on plan get leaks... so y risk extra stress on ir new tummy!? R those few chips worth ur life? If my comments scared u back onto plan then it served it's purpose well... dont stress just get back on track n follow ur plan @least until ur healed :-)
  12. But the point is... get it down or not... u could DIE from it! The staple line is very sensitive early on & eating solids can cause a leak which is very serious... Also, u cant rely on ur "full signals" yet as some of ur nerves r cut during surgery and take time to come back together... so while its good u r getting signals... u wont know if ur getting them as early as u should b yet :-( U shouldve stocked all ur needs before surgery... obviously that doesnt matter much now... just do ur best to stay away from solids/ stick with liquids til u can get to the store... PLS b careful with ur tiny tummy, its fragile! Best of luck to u!
  13. Have u been taking anything? Going more than a few days is not good and 3 wks... im surprised ur not in severe pain n id b worried u wont b able to pass whatevers there :-/ please seek help
  14. Everyone is so different, but i had a 3 for 1 surgery (sleeve, gall bladder & hernia repair)... i stayed 2 nights & when i left the hosp we drove straight to DE (3 hr drive) and went to church for easter the following day (so 4 days post op)... i was sore n walking around to watch the easter egg hunt was a bit much but Id deff have to go to my friends wedding & i would think ud b ok... just take fluids/shakes like the others said n sip n walk as much as possible :-) best of luck :-)
  15. Just fyi: there is nothing under the pics when im logged in on my phone... nobodies drs or stats r listed... so thats probably y :-/
