How to get Insurance to cover Plastic Surgery
Hello Ladies and Gents, Quick question, so having dropped over 200#'s I have now I have that lovely saggy skin issue, I can handle most of it, but the thigh's are killing me. It's causing issues (friction, and swinging in a most fugly fashion) and my insurance did not even cover the surgery, that was out of pocket. So, anyone have any idea on how to get insurance to cover it when I think its medically needed? Thanks a bunch!

Bowel movements
If you cant go, eating a few prunes or drinking some diluted prune juice before bed works like a charm for me, without having to introduce pills or powders. I prefer natural products as much as possible

Why can't we donate blood?
I called and asked my doctor who told me that I can never donate blood again. That it would unbalance my vitamin levels and chemicals and what not. I am not deficient in anything, but that it can make you deficient and it’s hard to get back to where you where before donating, and can cause problems. This may be directed specifically towards me, but I had heard this same thing from many people who have been sleeved that they can no longer donate. Just my two cents J

Loose skin?
Loofas, sugar and salt scrubs should be your best friend. Scrubbing a few times a week on flabby areas will help. Also I dont care what anyone says using compression garments help. I use them and have noticed a drastic difference. Also, lotion, lotion, lotion and did i mention lotion? Cocoa butter or a skin firming lotion is the key. As for the working out, using a 2 to 3 pound weight daily helps, if at some point you wish to build muscle then use a greater weight. Also, if your low on cash, use some milk jugs, fill them till you feel mild resistance or weigh them. Hope this helps

Pregnancy after VSG
All the doctors I have spoke to in reference to this all recommend pregnancy be two years after VSG. They have said that the babies are healthy with no issues. My two cents would be after surgery

I am on the Westbank in Jefferson Parish, up the way- Loose Skin
From the person with the old lady flabby as* arms... Toning is how I've started to get them under control. If you start lifting with heavy weights it will throw off your weight loss because muscle is heavier then fat. If you start with 3 or 5 pound weights this will help tone and tighten..then later if you wish for strength, then go for a heavier weight. As for the skin being wrinkley... I lube up daily with a toner (jurgens toning) and also at night I use Palmers cocoa butter. I also use a sugar/salt scrub twice a week and rub all the wrinkley bits..In my mind it looks like its improving... Good luck- MyFitnessPal.com Members
Mine is Tinka504...- Is it possible to find true love?
I dont think there is such a thing as true love...Maybe lust? I'm still waiting on my prince charming.... STILL WAITING. WTF is taking so long- Tips To Curb The Homicidal Rage?
I'm just going to say normally I am a sarcastic b***h, but the other day I saw a stupid Hallmark commercial and cried. Like with actual liquid coming out of my eye. WTF. Hormones from my fat? Really ???? Ima go from being a fluffy mofo to a damn alcoholic if this continues.... Not really. Dont flip.- 5 Confessions (Join In)
I have always heard that confesstion was good for the soul... 1. I confess that I forget to take my vitamins…a lot. 2. I confess I never drink the required amount of water…like ever. 3. I confess I drink caffeinated coffee every day, and I love it. 4. I confess I drink from a straw. 5. I confess I ate some Wendy’s fries the other day, and they were damn good. 6. I confess that I look into the mirror sometimes and wonder who’s looking back at me. 7. I confess that I hate to step on the scale because it might not show a loss. 8. I confess that I went to Victoria’s Secret and did a victory dance when I tried on a “skinny girl bra” and it fit. Not only that I confess that I have DDD’s and love it. 9. I confess that I never knew that a big girl bra was really different then a skinny girl bra. Really. 10. I confess that I really really hate my flabby ass upper arms. Damn things make me think I can take flight. 11. I Confess I hate exercising, it’s like torture. 12. I confess I ate some ice crème this weekend; it was sugar free so I don’t think that’s bad right? 13. I confess that I am starting to hate my best friend for the back handed compliments she is constantly dishing out. 14. I confess that I couldn’t wait to throw out the fat clothes. 15. I confess I hate that the fact that my friends tell me I act different now. That I’m more sensitive. 16. I confess I like it when a hot guy opens a door for me. 17. I confess I stopped twice when I saw my reflection in something and stared longer then I should have. 18. I confess reading over others confessions made me feel better about myself and my situation and my feelings. 19. I confess that also reading them made me feel more normal- All food tastes bad since surgery.
I had that same problem. I could not stand the smell much less the taste of food. After about three months...all of a sudden, certain foods started to smell good, like grilled chicken...red beans. Things that I thought were going to make me hurl just a week ago were now smelling good. The doctor told me that this was actually pretty normal. Its because of the "trauma" to your pouch from surgery. Eventually it gets back to normal...dont worry - any new orleans ladies?
