Under 180Lbs And Getting Sleeved, Anyone Else?

Anyone under 180lbs and getting sleeves?

I have recently started to feel a bit guilty about getting sleeved for being overweight but not obese.

I have other medical issues that have helped me make the decison to get sleeved, but I am curious

to see if there is anyone else in the same boat.

I was just sleeved on 1/21/13, revision surgery from the band, I was banded on 3/5/07. I weighed 159 the day of surgery. Today I weighed in at 154.6, 8 days post op. Cant wait to reach my goal of 125! :D

Hello,

I am currently 173 and 5'2. I will be having the surgery on March 12, 2013. I am very excited and nervous. My goal weight is 120. Any advice??

Just follow what the doctor tells you. I had a hard time on pre-op diet. felt out of control and did not want to follow rules. I am 4 days post-op and so glad I did it. people said its not that much weight, only 50 lbs, but I could not get rid of it.

good Luck

I am glad I found you here. I am banded and list only 15 and now I am giing ti remove fluid and remive my band because its included in 15g I paid. I don't want any issues and pay extra for removal.

My weight was 176 when I was sleeved on Jan. 13, 2013 the weight loss has really been slow for me. It will be 8 weeks tomorrow and i weigh 156 and have been in a stall for the past 2 weeks.

Weel how well would you have done without it? up on your proteins

At 5'9 I cannot "weight" to rock 180lbs! Lol!

Why are you sleeving when you are not seriously obese?

Because I have a lapband and its not working so I am removing it and going to sleeve

Marcia my weight is obese 4 9.5

Marcia my weight is obese 4 9.5

R u self pay or is it covered by insurance?

I am 175# and being sleeved BEFORE it gets completely out of hand. I hate my weight and not being as active as I should be. I have been struggling with my weight since I can remember and Every year I weigh a little bit more than the previous year. I am getting done on April 15th at occ with dr Ortiz and can't wait! I know the results are going to be slow but there will be results an they will be forever

I have a lapband and went to 160 and my crapband is not doing the job it shiuld and I am going up in weight grr

Sherri3388 I am in exactly the same boat as you! Plus I have a crapband too and it hasn't worked at all! I need the hormones cut off to my brain! I have to workout 1.5 hours a day and eat super healthy only to maintain a bmi of 30. Suuuuucks.
