Under 180Lbs And Getting Sleeved, Anyone Else?

Anyone under 180lbs and getting sleeves?

I have recently started to feel a bit guilty about getting sleeved for being overweight but not obese.

I have other medical issues that have helped me make the decison to get sleeved, but I am curious

to see if there is anyone else in the same boat.

You are not far away from goal at all! Well done you. Will u keep me posted about your weight loss and if you do find your perfect weight x

I had my lapband removed April 17th. I still struggle with some foods due to my stomach shape is still same as with a band. My hunger level is up. I am not able to shake off the 15 pounds I gained with a band last year. I wonder if sleeve will even work for me :(

I totally get how you feel it is horrific regaining weight. I am going to see a surgeon 2moro to find out about the sleeve

Tell me about you Buff

I am in the uK and unless your bmi is very high and you have major health issues you have to pay privately.

Same here in Ontario

I started at 171 and am at 154.4 6 weeks out today. I have been on a stall all week long. I'm not complaining, just saying that when you start with a lower BMI it comes off slower.

I would prefer it to come off slower because I think i would get less questions that is still a massive loss in 6 weeks tho. How's your food going 6 weeks in? What do your daily meals look like - if you don't mind writing it all down

Well, for breakfast I had a salad with a lot of diff vegetables in it, bacon bits and chick peas, about 3 quarters of a cup. Lunch I had a small hamburger, no bread, that I dipped in mayo and ketchup and a couple spoonfuls of baked beans then I had about a fourth cup of a cherry dessert, I drank flavored water and tea between this and am planning to have a couple more spoonfuls of baked beans and a half chicken breast for dinner tonight. If there's anything after that it will be yogart. Not sure about that though. I do not deprive myself of things I want. I have done that over and over with my diets and it has never ended we'll so I'm going to eat small portions an try to make good decisions. There were many things today that I could have eaten, I was at a picnic where everyone brought goodies so even though I did have dessert, it could have been much worse and I was totally satisfied. If I can keep on like this and continue to lose slowly ill take it!

Been to see the surgeon. I left feeling less confident than when I went. He seemed shocked by the things I was asking - obviously I had researched it. When I asked him about problems quite regularly heard of on here he was like " yeah I have heard of that but it's never happened to one of my patients"

With a certain company yes. I am still looking around tho because this is a massive decision and one I can't afford to take any risks with. My bf is coming round to the idea of this but he still has not given 100% blessing x

Well, im a week away from band revision surgery. This time instead o weighing 250 I weight 174. If it were me looking at anoanother 174 lb person I would question why they were getting the wls. Can't u just lose 40 lbs? Surely its not that hard....

It is that hard. In the last 18 mths, since my band slipped, I've gained 30 lbs. I've proven I can't be trusted to do this by myself. I need something to help me maintain forever.

Just saying hey to other with less to lose...howdy!
