Under 180Lbs And Getting Sleeved, Anyone Else?

Anyone under 180lbs and getting sleeves?

I have recently started to feel a bit guilty about getting sleeved for being overweight but not obese.

I have other medical issues that have helped me make the decison to get sleeved, but I am curious

to see if there is anyone else in the same boat.

I am with you on this one. I was 183 and went to 163 with a lapband and up to 179 in 4 years. Even had plastics to correct loose skin. I removed my band in April and hanging on to last 40 pounds. Come on 5 pounds weight loss for $15000 surgery!!!!

People at the clinic were giving me strange looks when I was there. I didn't care. They don't know my story. I am down 24.8lbs and love it! I have 9.2 to meet my goal. I also lost 5 lbs on the pre-diet. Just because you have less to lose does not make it easier to lose.

You are doing so well!! Keep it up I am thinking of August for surgery just need to get the funds together x

So glad I found this forum, I am also starting at about 190-195. I am 5 ft 3 in. I did not have a band prior, or any health factors (yet). I have only been over weight 5 years I am just trying to prevent the future and not get any bigger. Glad I'm not the only one trying to be proactive. Although my goal weight is about 60+ lbs I feel I cant do that On me own. Anyway I hope I'm not to slow a looser that's why I usually cant stick with diet and exercise:( anyone out there my weight an loose relatively quick!?

It definately goes slower I'm 6.5 months and have lost about 43 lbs depending on the day. I am a normal healthy weight and bmi now but hoping to lose about 15 more to just be in the middle healthy weight for a buffer zone.

it took the whole 6.5 months to get there or have you been at that a while superstartover??

Took me six months to lose 43 lbs. I weight 117right now and kind been here for a bit.

Yeah I'm just hoping to loose some by Xmas:) hoping mine goes a little quicker since I'm bigger starting weight. I can't believe u had it done at the weight! Glad it worked our for u though!!

Yea but I was obese at that weight Im 4 9.5 tall

Right I'm obese too, borderline morbidity obese:( Seems like most the people on this thread had lap band first, do you know anyone else who was similar to us superstar over just under 190??

Yep lovestennis

I too am on the "lower" weight...I'm 5'2 and weigh 183...with diabetes as my medical condition. I'm getting surgery this Monday morning...I am anxious to see how much weight I will be losing and at what speed. I will stay posted :)

Please do Les. I just got an email back from my plastics dr in mexico and she said she will do my lower eye lift while getting sleeve. Woohoo. Kill 2 birds with one stone lol

I started at 176 in April to be 142 now. I absolutely love it. I want to go a bit lower (137). I can't tell you how much better I feel. I went from a size 12 to 8 and do the insanity workout to help firm up. It works. I actually gained 2 lbs since I started it but that's ok. It's muscle.

I'm 180 and 5'1" and I will be sleeved within the next two weeks. I cleared my endoscopy and stress test and can't wait to start my new life. At 64 years old, I don't want to waste another day!
