  1. What diets/exercise plans did you try Frank before your surgery?
  2. so she should rely on the diet pills shes been taking to keep her weight down?
  3. and! I apologise for what I said to big frank.. it was low. I am trying to nip it in the bud now before I diet my self to morbid obesity.
  4. You qualify for surgery because you have shown every effort to get it under control through diet and exercise, it hasn't worked. Surgery is the last resort. Never should be the first and it clear it isn't. Let her (and me) be. We're here for support.
  5. So good to finally hear something positive!
  6. He does a lot I've been told and I watched a YouTube video of it (in pretty sure he was the surgeon) dr Lopez in tj Mexico.
  7. And definitely going to ask to be doubled up.. Or knocked out for a whole day so there is NO chance of it happening again!
  8. Haha it was my first surgery so I was like oh this must be normal! And I was so dopey my hands were getting in the way of the surgeon because I didn't know if it had happened yet or not! But my god it was sore. I had band done in India. This time I'm off to Mexico!
  9. That was what I was trying to say! U might look at someone with a bmi of 40 as seriously overweight. NZ-ers look at someone at 30 like that.
  10. qdh your story is my story and getting revision on the same day! I cannot wait!!!
  11. I am going to start yas. I was meant to start now but would of had to stop 1 week pre op. are you liking it? I hate birth control normally but that one looks ok.
  12. I like inner armour super quad protein. It's yum. From bodybuilding.com.
  13. I am having a revision in April. When I got my band I woke up on the operating table as they were finishing up and it was sooooo painful. I'm due back under the knife in 3 weeks (different surgeon) but I need reassurance this isn't common! I don't think it's happened to anyone before has it!?? It was the worst experience. I was only asleep for about 45 minutes but in the movies (haha) people wake up in comfy beds with their family around them right? Not with a surgeon looking down at you with a scalpel in hand. I keep having dreams that the same thing is going to happen! Argh!
  14. Do u know when u can start the pill again after surgery?
  15. I would be but that's just impossible for me. I have eaten "normal" my whole life, maybe larger than necessary (obviously actually or i wouldnt be in this predicament) but never any junk. The sleeve will work for me because I need smaller portions, I need the hunger hormone cut off. At the moment I eat 6x a day and I don't want o have to think about when my next meal is coming and if I'm eating at the right time. That's why I'm losing half my stomach. I'm hoping I'll lose interest in food and my focus will go to other more important aspects of my life.
  16. So with pcos does the pill in some cases fix symptoms? Sorry if its a dumb question, I'm trying to self diagnose cos I hate doctors at the moment!
  17. I'm the same. On a countdown! Yeow!
  18. Bigfatloser I've just read your posts and u did it to feel better about yourself? Are we not allowed to feel the same? Do we have to be food addicts like u admitted to being?
  19. Which tj surgeon?? I'm April but have dr Lopez x
  20. That's my opinion. Don't have a spaz about it. I'm just saying what I think and how I feel. Hopefully you'll understand.
  21. I think it's different in New Zealand. I don't think we have such an obesity problem like America does.. Obviously u don't think 30 is obese but in New Zealand it really is, compared to others around here. I feel very judged over here and have had endless rude remarks about it. People assume I eat McDonald 3 times a day and when I workout I get told "good on you", like I haven't been doing it my whole life?!
  22. Well he's implying that we need to get "up there" to qualify for surgery. I would love to know what he was doing diet and exercise wise when he was at the BMI that we are currently sitting at and struggling, why do we need to keep getting heavier? I am religious with my diet and exercise and all I do is maintain, if I have an off day on the weekend I see it on the scales and then I would lose 100g of the 1kg I put on over the weekend during the week. It is no way to live a life. Hence why I am stopping it now before it continues. Pretty smart I would of thought. Safer now than later..
  23. Why did u let yourself get so huge big frank?
