My worst un-compliment at my age that is so hard to hear is " wow your weight loss sure makes your wrinkles show more" It would be nice just to hear " wow you are looking healthier these days".

This would be great info for everyone. If you could just post how many pounds you lost each month starting with the first month post-op until now. It would be nice to see at a glance everyones loss even if your one month, 6 months, 1 year or more. Here is mine. 1st month- 14 pds 2- 4 3-4 4-4 5-2 6-2

I quit smoking about a month before my surgery and weight was going up quickly I mean 20 pounds in a month. Which is one of the reasons I believe I am a slow looser. Then a month ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism also contributing to being a slow looser. The odds were not good but despite it all as of today a little over 5 months out (drum roll) I am down 30 pounds!!!!!!!!!. Happy! Happy! Happy! Yes I am a slow loosing winner!

Thank you everyone for your help. I am now taking the meds for hypothyroid and have lost 2 pounds I guess I just paniked. I find myself freaking out over anything that may cause weight gain. Thanks again! Their are some really good folk here.

Has anyone started taking synthroid after having sleeve surgery? Did you gain weight? My dr wants me to start taking it today and I am not going to if it makes you gain weight. I did not go thru all this to loose the battle now. I am so depressed, Please help. !!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! I have been diagnosed with hypothyroid and my Dr. wants to put me on Synthroid. Everything I have read on synthroid causes weight gain. I have worked so hard to loose weight I just can't emagine taking anything to make me gain. I am not going to take it no way.

Can someone tell me what blood test I should get 3 months post op. I do ot have a Dr. or nut have not seen anyone sence surgery. I had it in Mexico and I was self pay.

I know my starting weight seems low but I had lost some weight before the sleeve but I new I was gonna gain it back. I have weighed well over 200 before. I was so tired of loose, gain, loose, gain. I am only 5'1.

14 weeks and only# sickning.

25 pounds in 14 weeks is crazy I am so over this now. Just not ment to be. Soooooooo depressed.

My weight was 176 when I was sleeved on Jan. 13, 2013 the weight loss has really been slow for me. It will be 8 weeks tomorrow and i weigh 156 and have been in a stall for the past 2 weeks.

omg!!!!! thank you for your replies. I ate atleast a cup full and they were not very thick. I am a week and a half out and I am starving all the time.

I ate a half of bowl of mashed potatoes and I am very full and sick. I am scared I am going to bust open. Ate to fast. Has this happen to anyone else?

My Fitness Pal only counts calories I need one to count carbs too.

I love carbsmart yogurt and it has alot of protien and many different flavors too.

I am starting my liquid diet tomorrow and just praying I can do it. I cannot remember a day in my life going without eating and being concious. Need your prayers please.
