I am 69 and have a bmi of 35 with 2 morbidities but after my Bravo test, they said only the bypass would be available to because I have Gerd. Don't want that at all. I know I have a sliding hiatal hernia and I thought it could be fixed at the time of vsg surgery. Anyone get have gerd AND the sleeve successfully? Anyone lnow a good sleeve surgeon in NYC?- Sick
Incidentally, sometimes things are caught medically from totally unrelated conditions - like coughing . You may have put pressure on a possible fibroid - who knows - just promise you'll check it put.- Sick

Just got your message. When did ypu have it?- I'm a Zombie! Any suggestions?
Some people, a very small percentage, do not respond properly to the artificial thyroid hormone Synthroid. I know because I was on Synthroid. My blood values showed excess circulating hormone, but my body did not convert it properly and I was freezing, puffy, incredibly forgetful and deepening depression. After years of doctors insisting on Synthroid, I finally found an updated endocrinologist and she put me on the natural hormone called Armour dessicated thyroid hormone. After 25 years on Armour, I feel great. You can also have low blood pressure. If your hubby wants housework done after you are adjusting to a tremendous physical change, he should hire a maid and let you get the rest you deserve. He can also do it himself. The best to you on your journey.- Senior gal concerned about getting the Sleeve
