*1*- I can still(and do) drink/tolerate alcohol/wine like I use to before surgery.

*2*- I eat whatever I want, whenever I want (except bread and carbo drinks) I just do it in small portions.

*3*- I stopped taking all my Vitamins due to cost.

*4*-I almost never work out.

*5* I feel guilty not telling my overweight adult daughters about my surgery.

I confess: I eat too much still.

I confess: I drink sonic diet cranberry limeade

I confess: I don't count anything( Protein or calories)

I confess: I am a great Vitamin taker & Water drinker.

I confess: to eating 4 donuts last week... In one day.

I confess: I am figuring out I will work harder than my sleeve if I want to lose weight.

I confess that I gained 5 lbs over the holidays. That I fell back into a pattern of grazing. That I eat chocolate everyday again. And that I am finding it nearly impossible to get my head back in the right place to continue my journey. And all of this is depressing the hell out of me which just makes me want more bad food.< /p>

1. I never followed my 2 week pre-op diet and might have actual gained weight.

2. I quit smoking 2 weeks before surgery but cheated at least two dozen times in 14days. Twice, 2 days before surgery.

3. I ate a 10oz steak sandwich, medium rare, and a taco Soup the night before my surgery @ the Marriot in Mexico.

4. I followed my post-op diet up until day 7. I am now eating deli meats, cheeses, eggs and tuna 8 days post op.

5. With the above said, I do feel a little guilty because my surgery went better than expected... Minimal pain, incision healing very well and no need for pain meds 3 days post-op. I have no issues getting in all my Water and Protein 4 days post-op and feel I am going to be one of those guys who can eat anything I want without upsetting my sleeve. Icing on the cake is I have lost 25lbs since surgery... I am 9 days post op. I had my last smoke 2 days before surgery and have no cravings to ever start again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
