I came up with a couple ideas that I do. Pretty simple and depending on what I have on hand and what I am in the mood for I will do one of the two...

Go to your favorite deli, I usually so Wal Mart but whatever works. You will need...

A few slices of honey baked ham

Pepperoni

Provolone, mozzarella, and parm cheeses

Jar of sauce.

*** other option includes the Brownberry sandwich thins or the Italian Herb pockets*** I watch carbs pretty close so I only use these occasionally.

The ham slices become the crust in the low carb version. If I have been great on my carbs for the day I may use the sandwich thins, but to be honest I very rarely eat any sort of bread anymore. Tastes have changed. Now if you are watching fat intake, you can get low fat versions or turkey pepperoni or whatever you like.

Do the sandwich thins open face.

Check out the Flat Out bread website. I just found out about this product and the flat breads are high in Protein, low in calories, and they have whole grain products.

They have some cool pizza recipes:

Wow thanks everyone for the ideas. I showed my husband a picture of the cauliflower pizza. I think we will try that tomorrow and start looking for the flat out. Thank you also for the Ham crust idea. It will be fun experimenting!

Another supporter for the cauliflower pizza! Ive made it several times and it's awesome!

Another suggestion is to use portabello mushroom caps and make 'pizza' with them. Scoop out the ribbing, layer in some sauce ( you can add some ground turkey for extra Protein and make a meat sauce) top with low fat mozzarella cheese, and maybe some turkey pepperoni if you want even more Protein. Bake and voila! I saw a recipie like this on YouTube and I've been meaning to try it!

I would take a piece of ham, slice some onion. Then, down the middle of the ham, place onion, mozza, and some bottled pizza sauce. Roll up and sear in a non-stick frying pan (or microwave tell the cheese is melted. Tasted like pizza without all the fat. Good quick snack if you are craving the flavor.

I've made the cauliflower pizza. It was good enough for my 15 year old twins and super picky hubby. I love it too.

I take a mission low carb wheat tortilla and put some artichoke spread on it and build it with whatever you want. My favorite and sundried tomatoes, turkey meatballs, and provolone.

Eggface has numerous variations of this type of pizza.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
